Booking at the very last minute for New Years left my girlfriend and I were concerned that we'd found something less than perfect. However, once arriving we were happily met by Susie who was welcoming and charming and immediately put us at ease. The room was warm and cozy in a homey kind of way, leaving the hotel glitz, shine and expense for those looking for something less comfortable and charming. The breakfast provided by Susie and Bill was nothing short of spectacular and left everyone completely stuffed. Honestly, I don't think I've ever eaten so much at one sitting!!

Simply put, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a simply delightful place to get away.

Susie and Bill welcome you to visit them on the Washington State Long Beach Peninsula. They live conveniently next to the inn, so if you're lucky, you may have the inn mostly to yourselves! Everything that is great about this magical place where the Pacific Ocean meets the mighty mouth of the Columbia River at the border with Oregon is yours at Boreas: the dunes and the beach, wild waves, clamming in season, great seafood, quaint coastal villages with affordable shopping, it's all here. Best of all, Susie and Bill will show you the amenities around the inn: the private hot tub gazebo that you will share with only your sweetie (or alone, if you travel solo like I do), Boreas special brownies, coffee & teas, and other treats, the trail through the dunes to the beach and the dunes bicycle/walk/jogging trail, it's just a short stroll to town. Best of all, you will want to stay an extra day to unwind once you've headed to bed. When you hit that pillow, you will stay there as long as possible! But you won't want to miss Susie and Bill's gourmet breakfast with more pastries than you can imagine, locally-sourced veggies and smoked fish in eggy wonders, and bottomless cups of a special, organic blend of coffee roasted just for Boreas!

I recently had business in Long Beach and stayed at Boreas Bed and Breakfast. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was just what I needed. Bill showed me my beautiful room and gave me a tour of the shared areas. Everything was just beautiful and screamed comfort.
I started by taking a walk from the property out the back door on path down to the beach. It was as if I had left work and everything behind and could breath. On returning the feeling didn't leave. The inn just has a cozy, relaxing, pampering feel.
A big shock was how comfortable the bed was. I travel a bit and have never slept in a bed that I can compare to mine at home. I could have just stayed here, except I would miss my family ;) Both Suzi and Bill were wonderful hosts and know everything in the area and full of suggestions. They asked what I liked for breakfast and had different options for me and met my needs exactly. The food and fresh fruit was wonderful. Coffee and tea always available.
I will certainly return to Boreas. Hopefully next time it is with my husband in tow and not business, as I can see it as the perfect Romantic escape for the two of us. Can't wait.
