This hotel has become our favorite in Long Beach. We've stayed there several times. The managers are very friendly and personable. It's somewhat modest but clean and comfortable. It's location, two blocks off the main road, makes it quite, yet accessible to everything.

Our Place at the Beach is indeed "our place at the beach."

I always feel welcome when I check in. It seems that everyone working there has that "special little something" when dealing with guests, which I truly appreciate. Excellent cleaning staff - the rooms (all appear to be pretty large) are spotless. This isn't a new facility but has been very well maintained.

The beach is a short stroll away (about 1/4 mile) on a lovely path; I've seen lots of deer along the way. The jacuzzi and sauna in the fitness center make even a wintertime visit warm and relaxing. Very comfortable bed and the rooms have good heat and ventilation. Very pretty view of the path and woodlands from the picture window.

Every year between Christmas and New Year's we go on "Our Dog's Vacation". Barney, our lovable mutt (German Shephard and Retriever mix) gets to go to the Beach for his vacation with his HUEMONS. This year we brought my brother and our two nephews and stayed in Room 112. We love this room with its two separate bedrooms along with the fold out couch. The fireplace gets a work out and keeps the rooms warm and toasty. We love the kitchen where we have our breakfasts and occassional dinners and the dining room table is used for our annual jigsaw Puzzle.
A short trip out the door and down the path takes Barney to the beach, where he seems to make the trip 4-6 times a day. He loves to be off leash and the trails, beach, smells and water makes him feel like a puppy again. He is also civically responsible as he has trained his huemons to bring the baggies and clean up after him.
We love staying at Our Place at the Beach as they always make us feel welcomed, the rooms are clean and the staff is wonderful. Looking forward to being there again next year!

We have a new favorite place to stay in Long Beach. Staff is great, Loved waking up and seeing 3 deer right outside our window Sunday morning. Rooms are very spacious, and the beds are really comfortable.
