This motel is perfect for a weekend at the beach; casual yet comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was small, but heated and sparkling clean. The location couldn't be better, a short walk to the beach, shops and restaurants, and free live music at the park across the street. My husband and I had a room with a kitchen, which had everything we needed for a short trip. My son and his wife had a room with a fireplace, which they enjoyed one evening - it would be awesome when the weather is damp and chilly. Both rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Nothing fancy, but just what I was looking for.

We stayed here, without any advance reservations, during a spur-of-the-moment road trip. We got a kitchenette room, which was quite large. We paid $88, with tax. The motel is quite plain and spartan, but our room was clean and everything seemed to be in working order, including the wi-fi internet. The three employees that we came into contact with, two desk clerks and a housekeeper, were very friendly and courteous. The motel is within walking distance from many shops and other businesses along the main drag of Long Beach, and the beach is also within a walkable distance for most. We enjoyed the Castaways restaurant, which is almost next door.

The Rodeway Inn probably wouldn't our choice for a long-term vacation spot, but for a night or two, the price and location are right.

Overall this was an okay room. It was very quiet and the motel is within walking distance of the beach, a block or so? It was a small room, but comfortable. The motel is an older one but is kept up and was clean. The price was very reasonable.

I was kind of scared about staying at the Rodeway after reading the reviews but nobody could beat their price. We went over memorial weekend and let me tell you, this was a family friendly, location friendly and people friendly place to stay. They are located in the downtown area where there is a little park were a horse wagon picks you up and takes you around town, for FREE! the kids loved it. They are only two blocks maybe away from the beach, our two year old had seen deer in the field located behind the motel. They opened their pool while we were there. It was nice, older but nice. The breakfast is standard. But it was fresh. The staff was was so warm and welcoming and the room was CLEAN. We meet one of the Managers and he was very friendly. Come to find out that it was known to be a party motel and when the new owners took it over they are trying to do away with the old partying guests. They are trying to make it a "FAMILY FRIENDLY" place to stay at the beach and we totally agree w/their philosophy.
