“Interesting stay”

Like some others we went on a Groupon Deal for 2 nights. The hotel was very good about contacting us and keeping in touch through email so there were no suprises. The "green" and mimalist design of the hotel and rooms was really neat and very interesting. We also upgraded to a king size ocean view and I would recommend that. It is dog friendly and don't forget to say "hello" (with a treat) to Magpie. We preferred the no carpet approach they use as it seems much cleaner than with carpet. Check in was perfect and again no surprises .. Staff was friendly. We didn't get a chance to use the bicycles as it was somewhat rainy when we were there .. Recommend the whole experience -- perhaps the only criticism of the Groupon Deal was the Depot Restaurant as we felt it was a bit of a rip off ...but this is not the hotel's fault.

Room Tip: Recommend upgrade to ocean view king size room

“Fun Place to Stay”

My husband and I spent two nights at the Adrift on a LivingSocial deal. We ended up upgrading from a queen room facing south to an ocean "front" king sized room on the second floor in the west building and were pleased that we did. We had our dog with us so that limits which floors you can stay on. The staff were very friendly and helpful (we moved rooms twice - the first room faced the parking lot which I did not want to hear) and we found it to be a great value and a fun concept. We took advantage of the free loaner bikes and hit the bike trail right in front of the hotel. We enjoyed the fresh organic coffee in the morning (it's available all day) from the lobby and also had the breakfast basket delivered one morning. Yes, the detail in some of the construction is lacking, but for the location, helpful staff, bikes, coffee, etc., it was a great deal. Will definitely go back.

Room Tip: South facing rooms are warm/hot in the afternoon but have a pretty view of the grass covered sand du...

“Great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Great location, close to town and the ocean. Hotel is newly remodeled with modern and minimal.
Hotel staff was very friendly but a little scatter brained at times.
They have bikes for hotel patron to borrow free of charge.
Best part are the mattresses! So comfy!

“Perfect Night away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

My husband and I spent a night at The Adrift last weekend, and had a marvelous time. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. I understood the concept before arriving, so the unfinished floors and raw wood were completely expected and charming. The lobby is beautiful and welcoming. We ended up playing a card game in the lobby fro a few hours late in the evening. What I loved most is that it really feels like staying at a friend's beach house. Not too formal or stuffy, with a foosball table and shuffleboard. I had absolutely no complaints about the cleanliness or service. The two small things I noticed for imporvement is a lack of ashtrays around the back exits. As it is a strict non-smoking hotel, it would have been nice not to have to go all the way out the lobby for a quick cigarette. Also, (and this is very minute) the chains on the bedside lamps are a bit short, my husband and I had a hard time reaching them from laying down on the bed. In my opinion, the management has done a greaat job and there a just a few little details to make this place excellent.

“We enjoyed our stay”

This hotel is an interesting place. It's industrial decor might be a turn off to some people...it is a little spare...but not at all uncomfortable in my opinion. It has all the amenities you could want to keep you entertained. There is a nice flat screen t.v. and you can watch movies on it from the comfort of your cozy bed. There is a nice chaize where you can watch the ocean through the large window. The wi-fi works like a charm. The bath is interesting. I was fascinated by the layout and the materials that were used in it. They provide you with lovely soap and shampoo. And if you love the scents, you can purchase it in the lobby. Also in the lobby is free, organic coffee which is quite delicious. You can also purchase a nice assortment of wine or beer in the lobby. There is a restaurant on the fourth floor with a killer view of the ocean. The food is not gourmet, but it is certainly acceptable. The service is very good, as well. My favorite thing about the hotel is the location. You are only several steps from the beach and a wonderful wooden walkway that stretches down the beach to the north of the hotel. You're not far from the center of town either and its beach resort complement of shops and restaurants. This is a lovely place to get away from it all for a few days or a weekend or a week. There are so many things to see and do that it'll keep you busy for a good while. :-)

Room Tip: If you stay on the fourth floor, you're right next to the restaurant. Handy for breakfast!
