I owe the success of my stay to his going above and beyond his call of duty.. The property is well maintained beautifully situated for an out of town traveler!

This hotel was a bit cheaper than the others close by, but was still outrageous for a Super 8. $100 for a Super 8 is crazy no matter where it is. This isn't that ritzy of a town, this should be $59.99 a night. Now the best part: the room had a bit of a doggy smell to it. I wanted a room that dogs were not allowed in, but none was available. If you are the kind of person who is so insecure that you can't go anywhere without your mutt at your side, good news! The gay guy at the desk has a little rat dog in the lobby that you and your dog can play with. The coffee was some of the worst I've ever had, absolutely the worst according to my wife. Food was so so.

I probably would have rated this a bit higher if I felt like I received a good value BUT the room rate was extrememly overpriced for a very minimal two star (at best) room. $179 a night plus $15.00 pet fee x2 (BTW, pet fees are expected so i'm ok with that) plus taxes and fees came to $461 for two nights. Seriously, $461 for Super 8??!! Thank goodness I didn't use the safe which they charge $1.50 per day to use. Again, seriously? Is that really necessary with the already overpriced room rate you charge? Did I get taken for a ride or what? (I'm feeling a bit stupid about this but i'm posting it anyway). Number one complaint, no central air or air conditioning unit . Not only is it August on the 3rd floor of a building but the rooms need air movement. It was so stagnant inside the room even opening the window facing the main street didn't help. Although this place is centrally located and within walking distance to just about everything I still can't get over the price I paid. I'll stop here and say get more bang for your buck elsewhere. There are plenty of places to stay up and down the main drag.

The linens are decidedly at the end of their service life, the pillows were lumpy, the sheets shin and worn. There is no air conditioning and no air flow through the room so it was warm and very stuffy. The breakfast menu consists of carbohydrates. There are breads, two types of cereal, Fruit Loops and Raisin Bran, and a waffle maker. (If you are willing to stand in line to make a waffle!) Half of the lighting was off in the eating/conference room making it dim and somewhat dreary. Note, they tack a couple of charges for things you might use on the bill and take them off if you did not use the item, notably the room safe and daily newspaper.
