The rooms are way old there was mold in the bathroom. The staff is Rude they do not care if you complain either. There was a big tear in the mattress, they do not refill the bathroom items when they clean the room. The walls are so thin you can here everything the other people are doing in there rooms. The girl behind the counter had teeth missing and this place smelled horrible. There are many other places at the beach that are much nicer. Do not waist your vacation at this hotel you will regret it.

Last Dec, My wife told me to get us to Cannon Beach her longtime family favorite. It has gone extremely pricey. We could afford anything we want, but that is not the way to live. I recalled Chatauqua from decades ago, its great views. We booked low rates, took advice to get a remodeled second floor room, and we had a great time playing golf, bicycling, beach walks, reading in the spacious room with the gas fireplace. Beds felt new and firm. Had very good, value meals at the Lighthouse (other upper end restaurants were disappointing). The staff were wrm, engaging and helpful. I am writing this review a year after we were there because I see no recent reviews. My wife had it on the screen for this Dec- now that's progress!

It looks like the facility has fallen on hard times; but the rooms were clean and warm and the staff was friendly. Its located outside Long Beach and the resturant has shut down so you have to drive into town, but isn't that what you go to Long Beach for. Like all WA state beaches everything is back way off the beach but at the lodge you can get a top floor and see everything and still here the ocean at night. They do allow pets so that was nice.

My friends and I recently stayed here for rod run The town was packed and full of killer cars. we had a cloged toilet and the maintenance gal came right away. this gal mel I think was her name was a riot very professional and friendly she told us tricks to get around town and where the cooler places to see were at her advice made our stay great.every time we ran into her she wanted to know if she could do anything for us It was really nice to have someone these days make you feel at home Im telling all my pals to stay here youll be taken care off and given great tips to the town. thanx Mel
