“Expensive. Worth it.”
We wanted to stay at the Mountain Home Lodge, but alas, no dogs may stay as guests. If you go here, you will see why I was sad not to be able to stay. It is magnificent. But this is about the restaurant, and we did eat there one night.
The dining room is elegant and cozy all at once, with a massive fireplace in the middle. It's very romantic. We had the best table, with views of the mountains right outside.
The service is top notch. The food very good in an old-fashioned way. Tasty, and in large portions. They even include some local wines on their wine list. I do have to mention that the apple dessert was merely adequate, but I'm an admittedly tough customer.
Overall, I give it 5 stars. Reserve well in advance. Stay overnight if you can.
