This is not a very good place to stay if you have children or like a good breakfast. They do not allow kids under 10, and their "full breakfast" is nothing more than microwave poor people food. The coffee they deliver to you in the morning is weak and is only enough for 2 cups. Their hot tub is dirty, The staff is angry. The owner of this place is a jerk. If you eat in your room, they will charge you an extra 50 bucks a night. If you enjoy cigars, dont take them there to smoke on the deck. It will cost you an extra 50 bucks. Myself, my wife, and the the other couple that stayed here in a different room than us will never come back. In fact, the other couple that was with us got lucky and found a better place to stay and left 2 days early for better accommodations. We looked, but with the ice festival, it was tough. It is too far from downtown where all of the cool stuff is. There is no parking lot security, so the kids in the neighborhood are allowed to make snow designs on your car or write their names in the snow on your car and the staff will tell you tough luck, its not their problem. Their T.V.'s are like 17 or 19 inch flat screens, but you cant really hear them because they are the cheapest T.V.'s this place could get. I would avoid this place if I were you. There are plenty of places to stay in town. The fact is, this was the only place not completely booked when we made reservations for the ice fest. After a few nights there, it is obvious as to why. Oh yeah, one more thing. The door is locked and the receptionist is gone at 9:30, the same time the hot tub closes. If you have a problem after this time, tough luck. This place charges way more than their accommodations are worth. We learned a lesson, which was don't stay at the Alpen Rose Inn unless you want to leave angry and feeling like you just wasted a lot of money for nothing. I have stayed in Motel 6's that are nicer.

We were recently in Leavenworth for the Christmas holidays and decided that we would like to stay in a B&B (something we rarely do). We chose the Alpen Rose Inn and were not disappointed. We stayed in a spacious, beautifully decorated condo/apartment. It had a fully equipped kitchen in which the owner supplied great coffee and a variety of teas. The bed was comfortable, the linens were fresh and clean smelling and the location was perfect. There was even a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and a warm cozy gas fireplace.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner and staff. The owner, Cindy, had thought of every detail to ensure that her guests would feel at home. It is the perfect place for a Christmas vacation.

We highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again whenever we are in the Leavenworth area.

Just spent 3 nights at the alpen rose for christmas ,can't say enough nice things about the Inn. Staff all friendly and so helpful with local restaurants and things that where going on for the christmas celebrations. Room was cosy and warm with the christmas decorations, and the hot breakfast was wonderful.Thank you for making our first christmas with out the kids enjoyable...
