We stayed in the Vista Suite over President's day weekend, paid the holiday rate and expected to have a relaxing getaway in a nice suite for that price.
Positives:The jacuzzi tub was very spacious for 2 people and positioned nicely to watch TV from. The bath crystals they give to you to put in does nothing at all accept make a blue ring around the tub. There is one jet on each side of the tub so the jets were ok but would've been nice to have more. They were angled funny so hard to massage back or feet real well. The hot water handle was broken for us which I mentioned below under the negatives.
This was a large room with a cute little table, tiny fridge and tv in each room which was nice. They were wall mounted flat screen LG tv's which we though were very nice. There was a chair and semi hard couch.
The floors were surprisingly nice and soft to walk on.
They have an in room coffee maker with Starbucks coffee for the morning.
Negatives:The breakfast room/kltchen is on the 4th floor located directly above the Vista suite. We were woken up at 7am every morning with people walking around, banging cupboards, dishes clanking... So if you would like to sleep past 7 this probably isn't the room for you.(breakfast lasts from 7-10)
Jacuzzi hot water handle was broken when we arrived, The maintenance man had to come to our room to show us how to pull off the outer portion of the rugged area below the tub to reach down into the bottom of the tub to turn it on and off every time we wanted to use it
There was gurgling noises coming from the bidet , my husband tried to turn the handles and the hot water handle just kept spinning. He had to reach down and turn the water to it off.
The shower: It kept shooting spurts of really hot water, then ice cold water shots while trying to take a shower throughout the entire time in the shower, both days this happened- not too relaxing. It also has no shelves accept one small spot for your bar of soap they provide so you have to put your shampoo etc on the floor of the shower. They provided shampoo/;conditioner but only a bar of soap. I would've liked to have seen body wash in the suite.
Spacious sundeck that they mention on their website is actually shared with 3 rooms, Im guessing the other suites. It looks over the pool and some houses.
Breakfast wasn't too exciting. No waffles or bacon. They had someone making omelets which were OK , minced ham, onions, mushrooms, cheese and a few other options. The other things they had out were little cinnamon rolls, a little pastry, sausage links and fruit. One morning they had potatoes with cheese, the next morning gravy and biscuits . This was included in the price of the hotel room but we actually thought about going to get breakfast somewhere else the 2nd morning because the food , even the omelets were just ok. They did have Starbucks coffee, and hot chocolate/tea.
Overall, it was nice, but we wouldn't go back to pay that amount of money for all the negatives we ran into. The noise in the mornings were a deal breaker for us. When you come to relax and getaway from stress, you don't want to be woken up at 7 am each morning.
