We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Heron Inn before the holiday rush and fell in love with it! It's very charming and truly feels like the comforts of home rather than a hotel. When you walk in there is the warmth and glow of fire with a nice sitting area infront of the fireplace, very nice and quiet. You are greeted by the friendly Owners who make you feel like you are their personal friends visitng their home. The food they prepared was a favorite and truly four stars in presentation and taste! In all honesty, we had never stayed at a B&B before and was not sure what to expect? We had the privacy we were looking for without having to make conversation with a bunch of strangers in the 3 story home or at breakfast, we were always treated with VIP service! We loved it and will be back soon as our little secret getaway! After staying staying at this place... if we stay at any future B&B's on our travels, The Heron Inn has truly set the bar high for others! Scot & Cindy Steffy

Pros:
Nice ambience. This B&B really has a "homey" feel with it's decor and is very relaxed. Full access to the main fridge, books and DVDs to borrow really make it seem like you could make it your home.
As far as I could tell, very clean. It has been remodeled recently so it still smells like fresh paint or food cooking.
QUIET. Their heating system is in the flooring, not vents. This takes a little while to heat up but this means you can't hear your neighbors through the venting system. Plus, the fireplace we had was great at heating up the room.
Breakfast was great. Yummy and local ingredients made the taste pop out.
Great location. Just far away enough from town that it's not busy, but close to a few restaurants and a pharmacy.
Backyard. The backyard has a small fenced in area with seating, a firepit in the open and another area in the grass with chairs to sit under a tree.
I didn't take advantage of the spa services so I can't review on that.
PRICES are VERY fair. This area has some expensive hotels in the downtown area, but the Heron Inn has some very reasonable prices Even in the summertime. I appreciate this since we save money on breakfast.

Tip:
If you're elderly, I would suggest a room on the 1st or 2nd floor. The stairs aren't full flights so it's only a few stairs.

We just returned from our weekend get-away to LaConner and had a wonderful stay at The Heron Inn & Day Spa. We stayed in the luxurious King Size Room complete with a fireplace. Every room @ the Inn is luxurious and ultra comfortable. Our hosts, Al and Kate, catered to all our needs and more and they made us feel like their home was our home. The cozy fireplace in the main living room makes the Inn a perfect place to visit in the cold, winter months. Al made us an awesome breakfast with fresh fruit, whipped cream, banana pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and orange juice ... coffee and tea was always available throughout our stay. I can't wait to return to The Heron Inn this summer so that we can enjoy their beautifully landscaped backyard. Our new home away from home.

The Heron Inn is the perfect choice for a relaxing weekend away in Le Conner. The Inn is wonderfully decorated, with comfy beds, tasteful interiors and it the owners Al and Kate are just so hospitable and accommodating. I have food allergies and they were quick to cater to my annoying needs and came up with some amazing breakfast options. It was a truly lovely weekend and I would strongly recommend The Heron Inn to anyone. I went by a number of other places to stay while walking around the town and none of they looked nearly as nice as the Heron.
