“Average hotel but pleased with the stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

We wanted to stay closer to downtown Seattle but everthing was out of our price range. This hotel was a good price and was right off the freeway. The building is old but still is in good condition. The rooms are comfortable but a bit cramped for space. The desk and chair were nice to have. The breakfast was typical for a Comfort Inn but the breakfast room was very small. They have a seasonal pool and spa. The pool was closed for the season but the spa was open....too bad it was freezing cold the entire time. The desk clerk told us that it should have been working and it would be fixed but it was still cold after the four days we stayed at the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again unless a better deal comes available closer to the big city.

“NICE, COZY, QUIET ROOM”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

Chose this Comfort Inn because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. I was very pleased when I arrived at 8 PM after a long flight and drive from SeaTac. The women at the check-in was great. She was very sweet and helpful. Needed a cork screw which she gladly provided!

Reserved a single Queen bed room - #201, which was on the same floor as the front desk/check-in. Worked great for me b/c of back problems - no stairs to climb & room was right near the outside door. (The 100's-rooms were on a lower level behind the building, level with the pool area.)

The room was very clean and modern. Guess the hotel has been completely remodeled b/c I didn't see any of the "old stuff" mentioned in other posts.

TThe room was small & cozy but plenty of room for two people. The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were fluffy but flattened out so I put 2 in one case to give some support. I was on the backside of the building & could see Hwy 405 but it was very quiet with the Heat fan on. Didn't hear anything & I'm a light sleeper. Only problem was in the morning when people inconsiderately went out the door & let it slam, it was noisy. A room halfway down the hall might be better if other quests are quiet.

If you have time go to downtown Kirkland by Lake Washington, there's lots of nice restaurants, beautiful lakefront park, coffee shops, nice stores, etc. Was going to go to Tully’s on Lakeshire a few miles from the hotel in the morning but traffic on 405-S was a little heavy so wasn't able to get there for a coffee & stroll on the lakefront.

Room Tip: I stayed in Room 201 which was in the back but on the ground level, same as the parking lot. It was...

“Meh... It's an average motel with a good hot breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

The staff - were always pleasant - no issues.
The room - old, tired but clean.
Extras in the room - Mini Fridge, coffee maker, 2 small bars of soap and 1 bottle of shampoo.
The bed - not bad 3.5 stars out of 5. Had a good bed, clean sheets, 4 pillows per bed.
Noise level - This is where the Comfort Inn bombs.. paper thin walls and floors. You can hear everyone talk, snore, walk, cough, alarms go off, walk above and beside you and thus not even a good bed can give you a restful sleep.
WiFi - offers a good connection all throughout the motel including your room and it's free.
The Breakfast Buffet - Surprising quite good. It was always clean as a housekeeper kept returning to clean and stock up. Hot eggs, sausage, tasty waffles, fresh bread/muffins, cereal, fruit. **Tip for breakfast, bring your mug as they had tiny styrofoam cups for hot drinks.
Pool and exercise room - The pool is small with cooler water temps than most hotels. The whirlpool is nice with just the right water temp. The exericse room is small but offers a nice bike and treadmill with a TV.
The hotel location - Good, just off the highway. Bad, just off the highway...real close.

Would we come back and stay at the hotel - Maybe

Liked - The hot breakfast included with the room, the helpful staff, free parking, free wi fi

Disliked - The thin walls and floors- too noisy for a restfull sleep. Might be better during low occupancy or top floor.

“Good value hotel, helpful staff, no elevator”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

We'd booked this place because it seemed the best value for miles around. Just off the highway, and we were arriving late. We got a friendly welcome, and the room had everything you need, and it worked. OK, the carpets in the corridors looked a bit tired, but we were not paying luxury prices. Sadly there is no elevator, but I think you can get to any of the rooms by going either up or down one floor at the most. The breakfast is included - making it even better value, and it was great. We didn't happen to try the boiled eggs which another reviewer mentioned, but everything we ate seemed to be fresh and tasty. Including waffles which you make yourself. Yummy.

Room Tip: Remember there is no elevator

“Very nie, especially for arriving late”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

This hotel has two thumbs up. We arrived in Kirkland late on a Saturday night. The Motel 6 across the street would not take customers without reservations and this was our 5th stop. There was one room left at a reasonable price. I was very pleased with the accommodations and wonderful hospitality of the staff, even with it being so late at night. The bed seemed new and the furniture in the room was well maintained. The morning breakfast was great, not just the cereal, donuts, and toast.
