Well the service i recived at the desk was ok, but after getting a room and finding out the checkout time i found a few problems,
1. NO FREE WIFI... the desk clerk told me i have to pay for axcess on the internet for every 24 hour period.
2. No security seen anywhere, if you have a group of people who look like they belong in rehab hanging around the place but no security anywhere, Come on this is right beside I-5
3. If you do plan on staying here bring your own softdrinks, the ones in the lobby cost almost 2 dollars
4. Bring EVERYTHING you might need, I've been to worse motels but they atleast they had shampoo for free (even though it might be small)
5. The shower leaks water bad, so i hope you aint downstairs!

When I travel, I sometimes stay in a Motel 6, sometimes Holiday Inn level, and sometimes Hyatt level depending on what is going on, business purpose, and where I am. I have stayed in many Motel 6 on the road throughout the United States, that have ranged from very nice where I could easily spend more nights to mediocre—not really bad, not really great. Usually, I would not take the time to review a Motel 6 because you pretty much get what you expect, but the Kelso Motel 6 is the exception. My recent stay there was so bad, and I have photos to prove it, that I was compelled to write this review to warn others. I wished someone had warned me. This was the only non-smoking room the clerk had when I checked in, but the room smelled of smoke. In addition--In the photos uploaded, you will see the clogged sink throughout my stay, the TV that did not work and displayed the message in the photo, the cigarette hole burn in the cover, the decay and peeling surface of the shower floor, the loose toilet bowl cover, the ashtray in a non-smoking room, and no bathmat provided, just a hand towel instead, in place of the bathmat. The situation here was so bad, that I wrote to the Motel 6 CEO, Mr. Olivier Poirot and sent him the photos, requesting a refund. This is the first time I was compelled to request a Lodging refund.

As you travel along I-5, you come across innumerable chain lodgings and restaurants. Their advantage is that you can feel fairly certain you won't get a dump, even if they lack charm or uniqueness. Motel 6, and specifically this Motel 6, is no exception. If you need a place to spend the night after a day of driving on the freeway, this is as good as any other, and almost certainly costs less money.

Our price was $65 per night grand total. The staff was polite and professional. The room was quiet, clean, and fully stocked. It featured shower-only bath (ie, no tub), air-conditioning, clock radio, phone, and TV (22 channels). Free amenities included parking and local phone calls. Wireless internet access was an extra $3. On-site was an outdoor pool and a laundry room. Several restaurants, fast food places, and convenience stores were nearby.

The place was inexpensive, right off the freeway, and gave us what we needed for the night. No charm, no culture, no nightlife -- but we weren't looking for any of that.

I've used Motel 6 before and this one is not as good as others. It faces I-5 so if you stay there get a room that doesn't face I-5. It wasn't as clean as some I've stayed in and so I wore flip flops in the shower. I didn't like the way the bed and sheeting looked so I used my sleeping bag on top of the bed.
