“Just horror”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2010

That night in Econolodge Keso was nothing but a nightmare! The room was rotten, stinky of cigarette smoke, bugs in the bed, filthy carpet full of cigarette stains, the same with the furniture.
But worst of all were our "room neighbours"..........they were surely no travelors but residents of the worst kind making horrible noise the whole night long! There was not one minute of sleep, even when we asked them to stop the noise. Very early in the morning we escaped this place of pure horror with the true desire of never ever visiting an Econolodge motel again.
Above all one chair was in such a bad conditon that my husband sitting on it nearly got hurt.
We have traveled the US so often, but quite barely made such terrible experiences.

“Free toast - not free breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2010 via mobile

The "free breakfast" is a joke - we had to go elsewhere. Toast with only grape jelly and butter or sugary pastry is all there was (with orange juice or tea/coffee).
Didn't bother is, but don't advertise free breakfast of you can't offer it - free toast would have been more appropriate.
Clean. Unfriendly staff. But still good value.

“Great Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2010

The location of the property was fine, the lobby was clean, the clerk was very friendly and professional and the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was great and very cumpfy, however during my week stay here i got strange calls 2 times and also weird people knocking on my door at 2&3am in the morning, The rail service didnt bother me during my stay there, the wifi service was excellent and easy to hook up 2. I will stay here but only if i'm alone and also if they get some security

“Affordable and clean”

Stayed here as a stopover with our final destination Cannon Beach. Clean room and friendly staff. We had two queen beds in the room, one was a bit lower and saggy in the middle so we just slept in the other one. Quiet and room was clean. Breakfast was very light but to be expected with such a low price. Overall would stay here as a stopover hotel anytime.

“Decent rooms/Scary people”

We stayed the night at the Kelso Econo Lodge on a visit to Mt. St. Helens. The location of the property was fine, the lobby was clean, the clerk was very friendly and professional and the room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, there were some odd characters at this place. One room had a guy who kept suspiciously peaking out from the fully drawn curtains as a large number sketchy characters came in and out of the room almost continuously. The room in front of which we parked had a guy passed out on a table at 6pm with three cans of Pringles and a case of PBR beside him. We peaked in later to make sure he wasn't dead (he wasn't).
