My husband finally got two consecutive nights off of work (after trying for 2 years) so we could use the gift certificate our friends got us for a wedding gift. When we called to work out a weekend with Lalaine (the owner), she would only book us on "off" weekends - not at all during May, June, or July because there might be a wedding and certainly not on Valentine's Day weekend. When we arrived at 3 pm (the time she told us she would be there waiting to greet us), there was only one housekeeper there who was surprised at our arrival. The whole place was in disarray with cleaning supplies and mops and brooms and toilet paper astrewn the floor. Magazines were just thrown on the coffee tables, and there were dead insects on the window sills! There were also dead leaves all over the kitchen floor, and the blinds and the screen were slashed and broken in our room. The heat wasn't on so it was ice cold, we weren't given a key so our belongings were unprotected while we were out getting dinner, and when we returned the lights lining the very steep staircase down to the cabana were not on. We could have broken our necks traying to navigate to the building in the pitch blackness. They knew for over a week that we were arriving.
We left before the night was over, and I have a feeling we will never get an apology phone call, a refund, or even the gift certifcate back! DO NOT STAY HERE! I know that some people have left positive reviews, but also keep in mind that there are negative reviews... horrible ones. And if you want to take a chance on ruining a perfectly good vacation, then book here. But if not, stay somewhere without such conflicting reviews!!!!!!!!!
