This hotel has large rooms, lots of amenities such as in-room fridge and microwave, lots of tv channels, breakfast, computer and printer in lobby, and is easy access off the freeway not far from Tacoma. The down side is the strong cleaner smell when you enter the lobby and the strong mold and mildew smell that was at least in my room. Other maintenance issues included broken heat lamp, broken light switch, missing light bulb, bottle opener hanging by a thread from the wall, curtain off the hook hanging all askew and rice paper windows that let you hear all the traffic whizzing by on the freeway and a main road if you're in one of the rooms facing that way.

My husband and I just wanted a night away from home with a Jacuzzi room. This place wasn't far away but just far enough.. The room was very clean, the jacuzzi was very nice & big(Nice for romance).The continental breakfast was just ok...Lots of Restaurants nearby, with a casino too. It is a short jont to Seattle, either on I-5, or up Hwy.99.. Would stay here again.

Royal Coachman is a nice place to stay - rooms are well worn but very clean. Service staff is helpful. Near several restaurants and gas stations. Compared to other available motel/hotels in area, it's probably at the top of the list.
