I just stayed at this motel for the weekend for a cat show. Very nice motel and exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable with a fridge and microwave and a nice table if you want to eat in your room. The indoor pool and hot tub were a nice bonus and the hot tub was very relaxing after spending all day at the cat show. Breakfast was your pretty standard continental breakfast, but the waffles were a nice bonus. The staff did a great job of keeping everything stocked during breakfast, and the hotel was packed with people from the cat show and high school kids who were going to a chess tournament. The hotel was a bit low frills but all I really want is a comfy bed and a clean room. It also might not be a great place for people who are sensitive to noise. Our room looked out over a truck stop area which the cat thoroughly enjoyed. I sleep like a log, but someone sensitive to noise might have found the nearby highway and truck stop too noisy. Another bonus is the Denny's next store. Nice staff and nice to not have to go far after a busy day at the show. I also have to give a big thumbs up to the Ferndale events center and Shorty's coffee across the street from the hotel. Would highly recommend the events center. One final big thumbs up to the Chihuahua Mexican restaurant in downtown Ferndale. I have to say my weekend in Ferndale was an excellent experience.
