We (2 adults, 2 children) spent 2 nights here.
Room was clean, in decent repair, but we found the beds really firm...hard would probably be a better description.
Housekeeping was knocking on the door shortly after 8:00 AM, HOURS before checkout. We didn't have the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign out...didn't think it necessary that early in the morning.
Our first night didn't go well, as it sounded like a herd of buffalo were having an all-night dance on the floor above. Apparently they only stayed the one night, as no problems with noise the second night.
Both mornings we found the breakfast area trashed and that most of the food had run out. To her credit, the -ONE- lady that they had taking care of the area was working her fanny off, but preparing/stocking food, making coffee, filling drink dispensers, and trying to clean tables was a bit much for one person.
You could smell the indoor swimming pool when you first walked in the motel entrance. The pool area appeared to have been half-heartedly cleaned...dirt/debris in corners, etc. We swam in the slightly cloudy pool against my better judgement, and had the red stinging eyes to show for it. (A properly maintained pool will have no odor or a slight "Chlorox" odor...the "swimming pool" smell is actually due to a LACK of maintenance). The posted rules were not enforced.
I used the courtesy computers in the lobby once, out of the several times that I wished to. The other times I tried the machines either couldn't get a connection to the internet (twice) or were in use by kids playing combat games on the internet (several times spread across both days).
The neighborhood provides an interesting assortment of vacant buildings, and gang graffiti...need I say more?
