I moved from the Motel Super 8 (Enchanted PKWY & 320th) to the Quality Inn & Suites only because we wanted a hotel with a swimming pool on our last day of our visit. Because of the price hike from the Motel Super 8 and the word Quality in the name of the Hotel, I expected something 'better'. I did not realize how WONDERFUL the beds at the Motel 8 were until I sat on the bed at The Quality Inn. I could feel the springs in my butt when I sat and every time I moved the bed would squeak. I decided to just deal with it for one night because I did not feel like moving rooms. Through out the night I was awakened by what sounded like elephants walking in the room above mine. From 3am till now (4:34am) I have sat here listening to the bed upstairs squeak to the rhythm of 'you know what'. When I went to the office and told them they need new beds in the room above mine, the man at the front desk, giggled, shrugged it off and smugly said 'Sorry about that'. There is absolutely nothing Quality about this place. I wish I had stayed at the Motel 8. The Front Desk People were much more friendly and helpful, the beds were high quality (I slept without pain... unlike tonight here at the Quality Inn) and it seems the quality of people who stay at the Motel 8 have a lot more respect for the people around them.

Manager was a absolute monster and a hotel a nightmare. This was supposed to be a pet friendly hotel and we have stayed in hundreds and Never a problem. Neighbors were being very noisy and rowdy so our dogs barked . We stepped out for dinner and when we got back our key was decoded from our door by the manager. Manager had intruded in our room while we were away to try and forcefully remove our pets, and he called the Dog pound to try and take them while we were gone. Luckily, we came back before this besieging happened. The Manager was extremely nasty and said we couldn't stay through the night and he forced us to collect our belongings while he forcefully kept the door pried open with his forearm and foot .During this event while my wife was changed her cloths in the bathroom to leave, he refused to let us close the door for privacy. We left at night and police were called. Police were VERY unhappy with the manager and said he was Lucky our pets were not working dogs or he would have a federal suit against him. Beware!! This Low class manager hates pets and people and it will be obvious if you choose to stay here and are unfortunate to encounter him, and your pet may not be there when you return! Manager tried to charge us for the night on our card, which our credit card company took off. NOT Pet or People friendly here!!!

In the past we have had good luck with Quality Inns but this one was not up to standard. When we checked in we had difficulty breathing because smoking was allowed right outside the doors and the doors/windows were wide open. The second floor is an open balcony to the lobby so that smoke smell drifted up to our hallway and into our room. Our room had hard beds, lumpy pillows and mold in the bathroom. The good points were that the lounge chairs by the pool were padded and comfortable and the breakfast was ok, not great but ok. The front desk staff was very nice as well.

We needed a last minute hotel after staying at the stellar Courtyard in downtown Tacoma. The woman at the desk was extremely friendly but that's where the good news ends. We paid $99 night for what should be a $39 a night room. The carpet was filthy, the beds are mushy and the air conditioner was loud. This is a little surprising given the area where the hotel is located. There certainly must be better properties in the area. Keep searching.
