I selected this hotel to use as an airport hotel-- one to arrive late and leave early.

The hotel is a standard Courtyard in many aspects; the internet connection in the room is free; there is 'storefront' where you can purchase overpriced items to eat or use. This particular hotel boasted a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport, which is why I chose this hotel.

And that's really where the issue is. Although the website lists SEA airport as only 12 miles away, it seems really a lot further. When I arrived at the airport, I called the hotel for the shuttle and was told it would arrive in 20-25 minutes. I waited 40 minutes before the shuttle arrived. The ride back to the hotel was pleasant; nothing unusal or really anything to remark upon.

When I checked in, I asked for a shuttle to bring me back to the airport at 6:00 AM the next morning. Although she was pleasant about it, the desk agent told me there wasn't a shuttle available until 9am the next morning, and that I should get a taxi to take me there. Not having any choice, I had the hotel schedule a cab for the next morning. The desk agent told me there was a deal with the cab company to get to the airport for a flat rate with this company. I was glad to hear this and then realizing that many taxis do not take credit/debit cards, I asked where I could get an ATM/ABM. There was none in the hotel, so I was redirected to a gas station across the street. No real problem there.

The cab the next morning was on time. I rode to the airport and found out the driver did not know anything about the rate at all. When we arrived to the airport, I found that the cab ride had cost more than the room did.

I did not use parking or any of the hotel amenities at all, so I really cannot comment on them.

The Marriott is normally fine, but I would advise avoiding the hotel until September 2010 when construction is complete. It's one thing to detour into the hotel through the back, but the noise here is obnoxious. I'm wearning earplugs and it is still irritating.

Staff was friendly. Our rate was to include breakfast and when I confirmed with the front desk they said they didn't have it in the system. I showed them my confirmation and the manager came out and quickly apologized and said she would take care of it. The next morning the breakfast was really worth it, full hot buffet. Our server was really friendly and very nice. Beds were very comfortable. Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, roomy and comfortable. Would stay here again.

We scheduled a meeting and then canceled to hold it at another location. I thought it strange that the entire booking process was done out of San Francisco? Anyway they charged us a $500 cancellation fee, which was a first for us, we do over 400 meeting a year but that was fine. I got a call from one of our agent that the $500 was applied to there credit card?!!!!!!!!!!! We did a joint meeting there a year ago and they had used the card. But I had given them our corporate card (they verified that they had the correct number, and I have the contract to prove it). They did not seem at all concerned about how bad this looked for our company and this mixup! They said they would simply refund the one card and put it on the correct one. I would expect a little more done then that for the wrong credit card they applied to... A free night stay or a free meeting room or something for them. I will never use this place again and neither should you!!!
