This hotel is close to the highway on the Canyon Road exit. It is nothing fancy but the beds are clean and comfortable enough, breakfast (eggs, sausage, muffins, cereal, yogurt, waffles...) is fine and the staff was very pleasant. I just reviewed the HIE (just down the street from here) where I stayed two weekends ago and it was $40 more than this hotel. That hotel is one of the newest but I am not convinced it is worth $40 more than the Comfort Inn.

Our experience this weekend was good. We checked in and went to the room. Only 2 rooms in the hotel are designated as smoking rooms. Obviously someone did not pay attention and upon opening the door we were taken aback with the smell of cigarette smoke. We went back to the front desk and she apologized and quickly got us a different room. In fact, I think it might have even been an upgrade to a suite...not sure. In any case, she apologized immediately and made it right by getting a different room which was a perfectly fine room. The rooms are big which I like too.

I ranked this as average because the decor is outdated and not top of the line like you would expect from other name brand hotel chains that tout themselves as high end. Comfort Inns to me are average and affordable. That is what we got. I would, however, say the service was better than average. Friendly and helpful and polite. Front desk at the HIE was almost disinterested in us.

The pool and hot tub are small but clean. I could small the chlorine from the hallway but it was not overwhelming. We got in late so we did not try it out though.

One word of notable interest....this hotel does not have an elevator. It was not a problem for us but some might not like that. It was only 2 stories tall anyway.
Getting to the hotel is a bit odd also. It is located sort of behind a diner and another Inn. The entrance faces a field and the roadway is a bit dark at night. If you feel like you are driving off into the darkness you are close to the entrance.

All and all it is an average choice but in my opinion worth the value.
