We stayed here in July 2011 on the first night of our 12 day trip. The rooms were clean and we had a great night sleep. The next morning was a great breakfast and the owner gave us some great tips on where to drive. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

Just ok, there's no other choice really. AC took hours to cool room, likewise the refrigerator took hours to cool to proper temp. Didn't see any ants! Breakfast was ok, nothing exceptional. Quite pricey - $100/night - for what was offered.

My wife and I and our three year old stayed at Mill Village for five nights in August 2011, and we really enjoyed it. It may be the nicest "basic" hotel I have ever stayed at. Rooms are large (we had one king size bed) and very nice and clean. You can tell the owners care about the place. We likely would have stayed in Ashford, which is closer to Mt. Rainier, but Ashford does not have AT&T cell service and we wanted to stay in touch with family. (Eatonville does have AT&T service.) There is a Subway restaurant half a block from the hotel, which was great to get sandwiches each day for hikes. I would recommend this place. Also, we could see Mt. Rainier from our room!

I had no misconceptions about the motel, having read the reviews and AAA ratings and it was what I expected, a basic motel. the room was clean, and there has obviously been some remodeling, notably new AC units, but there were a few ants in the vanity area and the sheets and pillows had been around for a while.
The jet plane taking off in the early morning is actually the shower in the adjoining unit.
