Not all bed and breakfasts are the same. Here you enjoy your breakfast (yummy egg dish, sweet bread, and fruit) right in your suite - whenever you please. Then we ran for our cameras to capture a stunning early morning view of the Olympic Mountains standing above the water. We fed the bunnies and carried on a conversation with the donkeys as we toured the gardens still beautiful in the fall. We enjoyed the slower pace of island time as we strolled the streets and shops of hereby Langley as they prepared for Christmas.

I have stayed at many B&Bs but this one is different (in a good way!). Firstly it has amazing water views over the property to the puget sound. Next it is on a few acres and has adorable bunny rabbits all over it! Literally everywhere and Gary will help you feed them, along with the resident donkeys Leo and Cleo. This added a unexpected dimension to my stay.

The room itself was the loft, and not a room, more of a suite. It included a large bath with a jetted tub and separate shower. A sitting area to eat and take in the view. Small kitchen (not that I used it). A desk for my laptop (with great WIFI).

It was such a peaceful place too, but can you really avoid that on an island? Perhaps I just love islands!

I will definitely be back int he future!

We've stayed in many bed and breakfasts and this one has some great features. All 4 rooms have private entrances. One of our favorite things is that there is a small kitchen. Each day when the room is made up, breakfast is left for the next day: cinnamon rolls, egg dishes, fruit, juice, etc. We found we could have much more privacy and not have to get up for a certain mealtime. In addition, there are a few lovely delis nearby where we found excellent entrees to bring back for dinner, saving us money on the trip.

Janie has a background in art and it shows in the decor of the rooms and also the fabulous gardens! There are farm animals to enjoy too! The outdoor hot tub is the perfect temp!

The Farmhouse is close to Langley, a fabulous small town on a bluff over the ocean which provides a great place to shop for the afternoon.

We were on our anniversary and the whole experience was a wonderful combination of the fun difference of a bed and breakfast, but with much more privacy and roomy suites. We seldom visit the same B & B twice, but I can safely say we will be back. I want to try every room!

The Farmhouse was all the things that I thought it would be.
It's such a homey, cute, warm, friendly place with beautiful views of Useless Bay.
I stayed with my boyfriend in the "Rose Room." It was such a beautiful room. We had a great time relaxing in the room. The furniture and wallpaper were so pretty. The space was personal and private. Our breakfasts were prepared with care, and deliciously tasty. We had a fun time exploring the property. The landscaping was beautiful. We enjoyed meeting the bunnies and the two donkeys. The animals were soo cute!!
Whidbey Island is such a quaint, friendly place to go and the Farmhouse makes that absolutely perfect.
The Farmhouse is the perfect place for a romantic getaway.
