Our friends were getting married in Lake Chelan and held rooms for all the guests at the Grandview so we checked out the website and booked a room. The best part of our experience was the Grandview employee (Brogan) who helped us book our room and then helped us change the room when we decided to upgrade from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom suite. Brogan was very friendly and extremely helpful and absolutely the BEST part of our experience, he may have set the bar too high because the rest of our experience was lacking. When we arrived on Thursday our reservation was ready however the bride and groom showed up and the Grandview had lost their reservation even though they had an email confirmation showing they had made the reservation months in advance. They did eventually find a room for them however instead of the suite they were expecting with a Jacuzzi tub they were in a weird room with a Murphy bed and a stack of lawn chairs outside the door – I appreciate that the Grandview attempted to find a room but the fact that the guests were occupying a big portion of the hotel and the rehearsal dinner was at the hotel made me think they would have tried harder to find them a suite like they reserved. Also, the Grandview employee on duty when the bride and groom arrived was not sympathetic to the situation and he was lacking in customer service skills in my opinion. The location is pretty great but our room was only ok – the views were great and it was large with a Jacuzzi tub in the master however the room was not the same as what we reviewed on the website, it was similar but it seemed like the room was not finished – the walls had pencil marks on the wall for aligning picture frames, there were missing trim in most of the rooms, the bathrooms were dirty and the kitchen was not well stocked with utensils, etc. For wine country we expected some wine glasses especially since most pictures on the website show them, there were none and there was not a spatula or a decent knife which sucked since we hosted a breakfast in our room the day of the wedding. We will not stay here again, we visit Chelan at least once every year and this is our least favorite stay so far – for the price I think there are much better places to stay. I definitely think the website is misleading, this is not a luxury hotel and although it has potential they need to stock the kitchens better if they are selling this as a fully equipped kitchen and with the exception of Brogan they need to work on their customer service skills. We would not recommend the Grandview to anyone.

I have never reviewed a place before but feel so STRONGLY about this establishment that I must put pen to paper. This was FALSE advertising at its WORST. On arrival we were shocked to find that there appeared to be NO STAFF, one woman appeared at reception after some delay.There were NO bellboys to take our luggage and although this is not the end of the world, the room was quite a hike away, through a concrete maze and cricking lift.The room itself was FILTY and very DARK even with lights on.The bathroom was RANK with EXCRETA encrusted on the lavatory seat,the room by its positioning received NO sunlight throughout the whole day.We had no plan to stay in the room but when we ventured to the pool area we quickly RETREATED.It had a lovely view of the lake but we couldnt stay there.We found it UNKEMPT and ASWARM with MIDGES and other assorted BUGS.The pools water was DUBIOUS and the ladders to the lake rusty and covered in cobwebs.There were NO amenities NOR facilities.There was NO dining room,NO room service and I REPEAT NO STAFF. FILTH AND BUGS however were in abundance.My wife was more horrified than I, if that was possible and we left after one night going to Campbells opposite,a REAL hotel with REAL staff and at the same price.GRANDVIEW ON THE LAKE does have that but NOTHING more.It should NEVER be visited save by HOTEL INSPECTORS and I suggest that any positive reviews were written by the owners of the FILTHY AND MEPHITIC Condo.TRULY HORRENDOUS.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights just after Labor Day. The weather was beautiful. The lake was beautiful. The scenery was beautiful. What a shame that this hotel could not live up to its surroundings.
We paid $259 a night (considerably more than I would expect to pay in Seattle) for a rundown condo unit that has been added on to the original hotel in the past few years. This resort clearly has a cash flow problem and bits and pieces get added on now and again in ugly grey concrete. There were seven or eight unfinished condos above us.
Since there is no central air conditioning, each condo has its own air conditioning unit and the noise from these multiplies and echoes through the concrete walkways making sleep very difficult.
We did not use the kitchen except to make coffee, and found that the coffee jug had a large crack in it, and was leaking over the counter.
The only thing going for this place is the beautiful view up the lake, but the downside is lack of a beach.
We will not stay here again, and we would advise other people to avoid it. There are many more attractive resorts around Lake Chelan.

Customer service is really important to me. First off.. I waited almost 10 minutes for someone to take me off hold. Finally I find out that they never came back and I thought I was still on HOLD. I called back to cancel my reservation and since my cancellation was beyond 24 hours, they would not refund my money. The reservation agent was very rude, and was not willing to even pro rate me for cancellation. This is unacceptable if you want future customers to come back then they need to change their policy. I've never been to a hotel where I would cancel my reservation even at 24 hours and would still grant me a refund or credit back my account.

This is the first hotel I've made a reservation at where they would not honor this.
Grandview just lost 10 customers.
