Deceiving photos sum it up. Dirty carpet, overpowering sprayed room freshener, holes in sheets, odds smelling linens, grimy windows overlooking lake and a general lack of attention to details make you wonder what is not so noticeably evident. Pay a few more dollars for accommodation with management who cares and reads the reviews and tries to make corrections. Not sure what kind of mind altering substances those who gave this more than a terrible rating are on.

After much consideration, we chose Americas Best Value inn because the prices seemed reasonable and the lobby was clean and the staff seemed friendly. We were in for a very unpleasant surprise.We actually found dog food under the bed, and the sheets on the queen sized beds were twin sized. When we took them back to the lobby and asked for sheets that fit, we were told by staff that they should fit, and he seemed very irritated that he had to give us a different set. The tv was comcast, and I dont know if it was a bootlegged copy, but it came in horrible and never did work right. The toilet seat was actually painted to cover the stains instead of just replacing it,and I found whiskers in the sink. The most disturbing thing of all ., however, was the comment that was made by staff when we complained, he told us, in the presence of our young child that " you Americans think you are smarter than the rest of us." I have never heard such a racist comment come from anyone in a place of business before, and we were shocked,and disgusted. The overall experience was horrible, and I would stay at a motel 6 before I would ever stay at this motel again...yuk!

We stopped for 1 night on our way to Port Angeles, and we were pleasantly surprised. It is quite literally just off the freeway, however, all the rooms have a lake view. We were in Room 119 on the ground floor which was in excellent condition. Perhaps the previous reviewer was correct and the ground floor rooms had been refurbished. Our only complaints would be that the breakfast was very basic, and there are no restaurants nearby, just a Subway and Pizza unless you drive to the next exit on the freeway.
For a 1 night stay it's fine.

If you are thinking about staying here, ask for a room on the first floor.

I had a room on the 2nd floor and it was AWFUL. The side chair had a horrible, dark stain on it, which was old. The room needed some serious vacuuming. I wouldn't take my shoes off to walk on the carpet. I went outside to sit on the balcony and the chair out there was filthy as well. The place just grossed me out.

I'm thinking the rooms on the first floor are in much better shape. There was flooding a couple years back and those rooms have been renovated.
