“Keep expectations in check and stay only a day”

This place is all about the kids. If you want a close getaway to Seattle/Tacoma area where you have have an indoor water park and hotel and you are unable to take more time then this is a good option. The highlight is the water park. Many nice options... play pool, wave pool, two main water slides, three inner-tube slides, large small kiddo water area, hot tub, towels a plenty, and locker room.

The hotel room was roomy and decent, although the bathroom could have been cleaner, and the towels were scratchy cheap ones.

There is a good size fridge in the room so I would recommend bringing your own beverages and snacks as that would save you some money and be more easily accessible for the kids to grab whenever they wanted.

The hotel restaurants were expensive and did not offer alot of options. The kids meals were ok, but the adult meals were not much selection and pricey. There is not really a "town" here, but there are maybe three local restaurants that you could do to if you wanted to go outside the resort and save money.

The one other issue is that there are alot of extra "add-ons" that look very appealing to the kids but which add up the price quickly. A magic quest game which is fun for kids but pricey, little girl spa where for example, a little girl manicure is $49, an arcade which I dropped alot of money on. A Wii/Kinect game room, it goes on....

So just be prepared and set your kids expectations ahead of time. If you do this and if your kids are 12 and under. and have not been many other water themed resort places then they should have fun.

Great waterpark, although not as big as the GWL at Niagara Falls. LOTS of life-guards around, indoor & outdoor hot-tub, wavepool, waterslides, etc. Beds were very comfortable. We pre-purchased the breakfast option and it was worth it. Dinner prices were a bit high so we went to nearby Country Cousins (see restaurant review for that).

Thanks to Living Social I was able to get a suite at a very cheap price. But really considering the room includes the use of the indoor waterpark it wasn't really that bad even at the regular price. In general the whole place was clean, friendly staff, excellent food availability capped by Starbucks on site. Paying full price would be worth it. My only negative about this is the bed is very soft and uncomfortable. We sank towards the middle and had back aches the next day. We stayed on the bear suite which had a masters bedroom with a king bed, another bedroom with 2 queen beds and a living room with a queen sofabed. The room had a jacuzzi tub in the masters and a walk in shower for the rest out by the living room. TV sets in both rooms and living room, a small fridge, coffee maker and a microwave. I would definitely recommend this place.

“Waterpark for the kids and winter.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

The kids always get excited whenever they see the commercials on television, especially in the winter. Definitely a great place to bring your young ones. It's sort of a cross between a theme park, a water park, and Harry Potter. I don't think it's a place to stay more than 1 night, and if you do it right, you can spend 2 full days in the water park. Definitely no more than 2 nights max. We splurged on the room (Kids Cabin), which was smaller than the pictures online, but works really well if you have 3 kids with you since they have their own room with 1 bed and 1 bunk bed. Ask for a room opposite the I-5 and higher floors if possible for better sound proofing. The real reason you go here is for the water park. There are 4 "adult" slides (long lines), 2 "kid" slides, water playgrounds for both big (6+) and little kids (3+), large pool and a wave pool. Definitely go during the winter time since it's over 80 degrees and humid, and the water is warm. We bought the breakfast buffet as part of our reservation, which was worth it since checkout is at 11am sharp (no late checkouts). The breakfast was marginal but effective. Don't expect good service since there aren't a lot of waitresses and everyone eats at the same time... I would however highly recommend that as soon as you wake up on the day you check out, bring your bags to your vehicle right away since everyone (including housekeeping) will rush the elevators around 11am, and you will find yourself waiting for an empty elevator... If you can go there during the weekday you will probably have the place to yourself since the weekend was a zoo. As for dinner, we didn't try the hotel restaurant, but went to Centralia (1 exit down) and ate Mexican food at Casa Ramos which was actually decent. I did see a few people taking food/pizza to their rooms... You should skip Burgerville in Centralia altogether, unless you like McDonalds. Other things to do in town - not much - maybe shop at the outlet mall...maybe.

Room Tip: Ask for a room opposite the I-5 and higher floors if possible for better sound proofing.

“A blast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We went there on Christmas eve thinking it would be a quieter time and boy, I couldn't believe how many people had the same idea! It was only slightly less crowded than regular weekend, judging from my previous visit, but it was a very enjoyable stay nonetheless. We checked in at 3pm, got our room on the first floor, and went to the pool right away.
The first floor room got us worried, but there was no reason to. It was great, and to our surprise the first floor room had a very high ceiling, much more than the usual 9-10 feet. I don't know why the first floor has much higher ceiling, but it does, and it makes the room feel much more spacious. Awesome. I would definitely pick the first floor again the next time.
The pool itself is awesome of course. My kids' favorite is the wave pool where they spent much of our time there.
Yes, we definitely would visit around holiday times again :)

Room Tip: First floor has high ceiling, go for it!
