“Camano Blossom B&B - Camano Island, WA”

I just came back from a small wedding held at the Camano Blossom B&B, an hour north of Seattle, near the darling town of Stanwood, WA. I was one of the lucky guests who got to stay in one of the four bedrooms at the charming Camano Blossom B&B. First, the owner, Melissa has made both the main house and the surrounding grounds inviting, warm, and comfortable.Second, she has recently hired a great couple, Candie and Patrick, to manage the place. The breakfasts I ate at the B&B as part of my room package were way beyond a description of just "breakfast." Candie and Patrick also catered the small wedding (30 people?). The ceremony was held outside in a beautifully decorated gazebo, huge exquisite flowers and plants galore with a view of Skagit Bay in the background.
The reception was also on the property in a large facility near the main B&B house. It had its own kitchen and bathroom so non-B&B guests weren't in and out of the main house. The food Candie and Patrick prepared was delicious, attractive and interesting.
If I didn't live on the other side of the US, I would certainly try to schedule my next retreat or reunion there. The small town of Stanwood, a couple of miles away, has some great galleries and antique shops. Just out of town is a movie theatre. There are a couple of state parks on the island and magnificent views of water from most places on the island.
This was truly one of the most low key, lovely weddings in a beautiful, natural site that I've ever attended. I hope to go back next year to do some kayaking or try the new zipline not far from the B&B.

“Superb food in a wonderful setting...best B&B I've ever been to”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2011

I wrote a review in 2009, and have just completed my fourth visit to the Camano Blossom. It truly feels like a home away from home. Melissa is still an incredible cook, and now has two new partners to help. Patrick and Candice are experienced innkeepers from New Mexico who bring a Southwest flair to the cuisine that manages to complement Melissa's Asian style--a wonderful fusion of flavors. They still adjust the meals based on your personal likes/dislikes or requirements, and they still provided the friendliest experience I've ever had at a B&B. It's an excellent spot for weddings or other events, or just to get away from it all in a peaceful retreat. The featherbeds are wonderful, and since there are only three rooms, the service is phenomenal--you are not just a number; you feel like you are visiting family (in a good way). Tranquil and friendly, you just can't beat the Camano Blossom.

“Lovely place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2011

We joined friends for a weekend 60th birthday celebration on the beach on beautiful Camano Island. In the evening we left the camping revelers with smores & smoke in their eyes. We had made reservations at Camano Blossom B&B knowing that we need a little peace, a clean shower, and definitely a good bed, preferring comfort over rustic. It was a delight to wake up well rested in a feather bed with a pastoral view out to the water.
Our hostess, Melissa, provided us with a delicious breakfast both mornings (Her culinary/restaurant background enables her to offer cooking lessons & gourmet dinners with an Asian flair to her guests). Melissa was charming and entertaining but also provided us with the privacy and serenity we sought.
We enjoyed the time spent with our friends at Cama Beach, but were refreshed each evening with our stay at Camano Blossom. It was just what we needed.

“Best hospitality ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 February 2011

Wonderful Bed & Breakfast with a great hostess! Melissa is one of the most friendly people I have ever met. In addition to the great hospitality, the breakfast was amazing and the B&B rooms and accommodations were perfect, cute, and clean. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

“What a get-away!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2010

Beautiful location, beautiful decor, spotless and comfortable, owner is so hospitable and helpful. Her magnificent 6 course (plus a dessert) Chinese dinner was absolutely superb. (extra charge for dinner) She made our anniversary celebration a memorable event. She lovingly prepares wonderful breakfast with local foods and produce from her own gardens and packed us a picnic lunch on the day we spent exploring the area. This was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it.
