When I arrived at the Quality Inn at 1AM after a long day of traveling, my first sight was a woman sitting on a bench outside the office window drinking out of a flask. I didn't know if it was the desk clerk on break or just a homeless person hanging out. Either way, it left a very negative first impression.
I then found the lobby locked down for the night. I had to do the registration transaction through a drive thru window.
This is a part-at-the-door, motel style property. The parking situation is deplorable. After driving through the entire parking area, I saw nothing open except a couple of handicapped spaces. When I asked the desk clerk, through the drive thru window, where I should park, she suggested I park in the 24 hour supermarket parking lot next door on the other side of a fence and retaining wall. There were signs all over that lot advising that cars would be towed if illegally parked. It seemed odd that a name brand, chain hotel would tell guests to illegally park their car in the supermarket parking lot rather than have proper parking facilities for its guests. I finally found the only open space next to a retaining wall in the motel lot.
The room was clean. I did notice that the floor on one side of the room slanted at an odd angle.
The bed pillows were tiny, square, postage stamp sized pillows. They were the size of decorative pillows for a sofa.
The rack rate for my room, as shown at www.choicehotels.com, was $89.99 per night. That is grossly overpriced for the low quality of the motel. Even at half that price, it would be a stretch to recommend the Quality Inn Bremerton. I definitely would not recommend this run down motel to anyone.
