This place is a mixed bag. It's dated and a little worn. When I first checked in I was a little worried that I was checking into a dump. The rooms are very basic, but clean. No little extras on the amenities. If you are in the second building, beware that there's no elevator, so avoid the third floor if you have a lot of luggage. The ice machines weren't working, so you have to go to the main building for ice. That's the negative. The breakfast isn't too bad, except that there is no fruit anywhere to be found - it's cereal, biscuits, yogurt, sausage and bacon, toast, juice and coffee and hard boiled eggs.
However, most rooms have a view of the bay, which is very pretty and peaceful. The hotel staff is exceptionally friendly and pleasant. And the restaurant is outstanding!
The location is good, too - close to the highway, a straight shot to the ferry, and there are other restaurants, a drug store and grocery store nearby.
If you're looking for a nice room, look elsewhere, but for a reasonable price, good food, and a great view, this is a good choice.
