When I drop my daughter off at University of Washington each quarter we check ahead for hotels on the internet. Sometimes we get lucky, sometimes no. I was so pleased to find this motel only 17 miles from campus-- during check in week its impossible to find a motel in the U district. I was so impressed at check in when I told the desk clerk, nancy, that I was staying an extra day but needed to find a fax machine so my landlord could give keys to my neighbor to check on my pets. She graciously offered to send a fax for me and called my room a few minutes later to say she had a confirmation for me at the desk. The accommodations were very adequate-- dishes, utensils, cooking. If I had to stay in the seattle area for any length of time this is the place I would choose.

I stayed here for 3 week's business trip. The staff was not at all helpful. My colleague was given a room on the top floor and it had a persistent bad smokey smell. I got a king size room which was a lot bigger, but had not view at all.
I would have perhaps liked this hotel if the staff were better.

I was reading other reviews and people either seem to be confused or the manager of this hotel left the rave reviews. This hotel does not offer breakfast so the 5 star review by one of the people does not make much sense. This hotel is in need of renovations and a few reasonable upgrades.

1. Very, very dirty.
2. Neighbours with dogs that are let go potty right behind the hotel.
3. Very very slow internet, almost unworkable at 30 Kbs
4. NO BREAKFAST
5. Mattresses ripped, carpets dirty, burn marks behind on the countertops.
6. Very expensive laundry at 3.00 per run with one washing machine broken, another was about to be broken as it was not working properly.
7. Nasty smell in the hallways, rooms and unberable smell in the elevator.
8. Witnessed an arest in the hotel.
9. TV has about 10 channels available.

We will not stay there again.

I stayed here for a week on business. I chose this extended stay b/c of price first since i was on such a tight budget. it is a little bit out of the way from downtown Seattle, but the location is still good in regard to having restaurants right around the corner, I405 is 1/4 mile away, and there is a mall about 5 miles up 405.
Staff was great, no trouble with loud guests and the rooms were adequate for me.
