Clean establishment with helpful staff. Good value for the dollar. The walls are rather thin and our experience was a rather noisey night of it from the noises next door. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was enough to get you started for the day. I would try this establishment again ...

Staff was pleasant, but found they seemed to turn a blind eye to the seemingly questionable activities going on. What appeared to be drug addicts and alcoholics where hanging out in lobby in morning, people using facilities that staff stated were not occupants, yet didn't ask them to leave. Noisey 3rd floor long term tenants. Questionable looking characters hanging out. Unplugged appliances, ok, to save electricity, but felt they should be plugged in by staff upon arrival so we didn't have to get on our hands and knees on the grubby carpet to plug in. Also, no fun to try and set their clocks... Unfunctioning microwave was promptly replaced. We were moved to a lower floor when we complained of excessive noise at 2am from room above and from outside in entry carport area from someone trying to locate a friend by yelling their name, knocking on our door and calling our room phone. The yelling continued in the early morning hours right outside lobby and attendent did nothing. Rooms semi clean....brown smears on light dial in bathroom....place kind of old and worn out looking. Only good thing that kept me there during Family weekened at WWU was location. Anything else available that late a date, after being unhappy with place, was further away, so we stayed. Would not recommend due to feeling unsafe in surroundings.

Clean, basic room, friendly owner. Near other motels, restaurants and the Western Washington University. No complaints, I would stay here again. Breakfast was coffee, juice, pastry, cereal.

I recently returned from my 6th annual extended stay at the Bay City. I am pleased to report that it was another excellent one. The owner Lucky and his family and the other staff were as friendly and helpful as ever. The motel is clean and well-maintained. It is a wonderful value.
