One word: impressed.
I've stayed at multiple 4-star and 5-diamond hotels in Bellevue and Seattle, and I wanted to try something new. I'm glad I did.
The Hotel Bellevue excels in every area. Its participation in Small Luxury Hotels of the World and high praise from a hotel inspector at Conde Nast Johansens only confirms this. What sets it apart {and incidentally makes it the #1 Trip Advisor hotel in Bellevue} is a confluence of facilities and personalized service.
From the moment you pull your car into the valet, the professional, accommodating and friendly customer service tone is sealed and the delivery remains consistent with every member of the staff. The design is West Coast, refined contemporary.
The rooms are spacious with a sitting area, desk, large flat-screen TV and stone-floored entry with full-length mirror. My room had a large bathroom with a tub, separate shower and toilet behind a closed door. I liked the iPod/iPhone dock to charge my phone and amplify my music. The bed was very comfortable, just the right amount of firmness and softness.
One of the hotel's unique value propositions is its 200,000 sf world-class facilities which are part of the The Bellevue Club, a high-end sports and leisure facility. As a guest of the hotel, you have access to most of these facilities, including the fitness programs like yoga and pilates.
What to know
- The hotel is a 2-min drive from DT Bellevue and shopping, 12 miles from sea tac and 15 mins from Seattle.
- There is a Mercedes S63 AMG towncar to drive you into and pick you up from DT Bellevue.
- I saw one reviewer note that rooms above the entrance {aka hwy side - but really, the hwy is in the distance} were loud, I guess this is a matter of opinion. As a city-dweller, I did not notice.
- Complimentary wifi with a decent signal.
- Parking is $12/night.
- Dogs are $25/stay.
- There are 4 restaurants on-site, I only ate in Cosmos Lounge. The food was good. If you come as a family, you might like the casual, cafeteria-style "Splashes", but if you're a couple, the other restaurants are better suited.
- There is also a spa, health club, three pools {one outdoor}, tennis and squash.
