As I write this, I'm sitting in the living room in the Carriage House at the Inn, overlooking the Puget Sound, with snowcapped mountains in the distance.

My husband and I came upon this place when looking for something special and we cannot imagine anything more special than this. The Carriage House is a delight! A lofted space, with huge airy windows and skylights throughout, providing views of the water, the lush vegetation and the full moon at night.

Having stayed in special accommodations around the world, we have to say this is amazing. The bedroom comes with a balcony overlooking the water an a comforter made with "far infrared technology", making it designed for perfect sleeping temperature.

Jan, the owner, has thought of everything. The kitchen is equipped with coffee, cereals, milk and a wide variety of condiments, and the bathroom has towelling bathrobes and cosmetic supplies for your stay.

The living room has a TV and VCR (tucked away in an oak armoire) as well as a selection of movies to watch and a wood-burning fireplace for the chilly evenings.

We are so comfortable and happy here, it will be hard to leave.

This place was great! Great views, great bed in a loft, great facilities, great service, nice lighting. Very close to Seattle. Very relaxing.

However, they could afford to buy a better TV. Also, No internet.

We stayed in the Guest House for 5 days and had the most wonderful experience in our life! We loved the Skiff Point Guest House's panaramic view of the most magnificient mountian ranges and Puget Sound.

The House was tastefully decorated and filled with anything we needed to make us comfortable, including a delicious basket of food in the refridgerator and candles everywhere! There was even fresh cream, coffee, bagels, cream cheese and butter for breakfast and condiments like mustard and ketsup for our other meals. Jan thought of every detail! (Check out the selection before you go to the local markets!)

There is a claw footed tub, plush towells, bubble bath, soaps and a hairdryer in the nice sized bathroom.

The bed was super comfortable with crisp linnens, a fabulous comforter, and (4!) soft pillows.

Downstairs the couch/bed was equally as comfortable.

I loved to sit on the deck with a glass of wine (or coffee in the a.m.) snuggle up with one of Jan's afgans (provided) and enjoy the view. We saw 3 bald eagles! I completed an entire novel on that deck, it was so peaceful!

One of the best places I have ever stayed at. Great location, inmaculate, magnificent views, fantastic decor, and the perfect hostess.
