“My dream wedding”

I was married at the mountain rose inn last month and everything was perfect, the trees were bright and colorfull, the rooms are beautifully decorated with big comfy beds and had a private deck with rocking chairs, the food that mike and dora jane made us for dinner and breakfast was some of the best food ive ever eaten. mike did a great job with the ceremony and took some amazing photos. The bouquet the local flower shop made for me took my breath away. I HIGHLY reccommend this place for any bride whom wants a small private no stress wedding.

“Romantic honeymoon & tasty breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2010

My husband and I stayed here for one night during our honeymoon in Virginia. The Inn is beautiful, our room (The Pride of Virginia) was very cozy, and the Inn Keepers are some of the most relaxed people we have ever met. We enjoyed driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway as well as the very curvy road that leads you to the Inn. We visited a local winery, had a nice dinner in Floyd, enjoyed wandering around the Inn's beautiful property along the creek, and spent some time relaxing on one of our two private porches. We were pleasantly surprised by the chocolate covered peanuts and note that they left in our room, as well as the turn down service with chocolates. Breakfast was the best I have ever had at a B&B - 4 courses of deliciousness!

“Our best B&B stay ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2010

Wow, what can I say. Our 3 night stay there was the best B&B experience we have had yet. The room was wonderful, the food was fantastic and the innkeepers were the best. We truely felt welcomed in their home and did not want to leave. We have already booked our room for next year and we can not wait to return. It will feel like going home as we felt so wonderful there!

“Absolutely Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2010

We loved Mountain Rose Inn! It was beautiful, immaculately clean and the innkeepers made our stay so very special. It is furnished with gorgeous antiques in every room. We stayed in the Daisy Room and had plenty of space. The bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed the highest quality sheets, so soft! Everyday the room was serviced and chocolates put on our pillows. Even though we stayed in the Daisy Room we also enjoyed both porches, with rockers I might add, the parlor and the beautiful dining room. It was like being at home, only much better. It is very, very quite there, our sleep was never disturbed.

The grounds were made for relaxing and walking. We even saw three deer drinking from the creek on one of walks The food was excellent and the service was second to none. We fell in love with the innkeepers, Mike and Dora Jane. They gave us the privacy we wanted but were always available to meet our every need. They made us feel like family! We could not wait to see what Dora Jane’s fresh baked goodies were every afternoon! Mike and Dora Jane are excellent host and I would highly recommend Mountain Rose Inn. We loved it!

“Gorgeous B&B location and fantastic breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2010

This is one of the best B&B's we've stayed at- our room- the Pride of Virginia was gorgeous- bed extremely comfortable. We had little cheescakes, brownie bites and sherry as an afternoon appetizer- which was great after exploring some of the 100 acres the B&B is on. We had complete privacy when we wanted and service when we needed. The breakfast was delicious, innovative and very filling- 4 courses- cereal and juice, then yogurt with fresh strawberries and blueberries plus almonds and walnuts soaked in honey, followed by a double decker french toast- the bread was thick sliced french bread with cream cheese and sliced fresh peaches between slices, followed by dessert- puff pastry with an almond filling, whipped cream on top with sliced almonds! The grounds are gorgeous- with adirondack chairs and hammocks to sit in down by their mountain stream. Swimming pool, trees, birds, and quiet!
