Not too bad of a hotel; VERY busy and the 2 gentlemen on duty seemed a bit overwhelmed at the front desk. "Computer Problems"; harried, etc.

Older BW; problem started as soon as we checked in-VERY SLOW draining sink, ditto shower drain-standing in over 5 inches of slow draining water is NOT my idea of "taking a shower".

Other than that, location was good; beds were comfortable; reasonable pet fee ($5.00 per night). Loads of space to walk your pet.

Certainly am glad our next night experience (BW at Hunt Ridge, I-64 just west of I-81 at Lexington, VA was MUCH better) !

We needed a pet friendly hotel close to the Interstate and had good luck with Best Western along our trip. This one was not so great. I was not expecting a palace, but the bedding was stained and had a cigarette burn, room stunk of stale smoke, and there were a few bugs. Kind of put me off from the start. At least the bathroom was clean and it was a cheap night stay! Would not choose to stay there again. Yuck!

We stayed at the Lee - Jackson on three nights during the Apple Blossum Festivele. Not a great stay. Room was weel kept and the beds were comfortable. But we had problems with the Refridgeorator in the room and the Air conditioner did not work well in 90 degree heat. It was also very noicey do to motorcycles and a tough time parking due to the Apple Blossum Events that were held there. The staff was fine. and the Perkins resturant on site is very good.

We had read several less than favorable reviews of this property before we stayed here on out way home from wintering in the South. The place was clean, comfortable and quiet. Having the Perkins restaurant on site is a great improvement. We, with out cat, had a very pleasant stay, once again. We'll stop there next year too.
