At midnight on Christmas Eve, my black African husband was told the hotel was fully booked even though the parking lot was practically empty. We went up the road to the Quality Inn, checked in with no problems. I called the lady at the front desk and posed as someone on the road looking for a room. She told me there were rooms available, including smoking, non-smoking, and rooms with two double beds. When I revealed that my husband was the man who had just been there, she stammered that there had been a cancellation. Really? A cancellation within 10 minutes at midnight on Christmas Eve?

I should have known better than to stay overnight at this hotel. It's unfortunate that one can't just get a clean room anymore without investigating hotels like a CSI episode. The smells, the horrible beds, the nasty carpet, etc. If you have a choice, spend the extra money and stay where you won't wonder what is crawling over your children as they are sleeping.

I've stayed here on three separate occasions -- two of them for a week at a time. I've always found the staff to be helpful, accommodating and friendly -- the rooms were clean, quiet and adequate with two double beds, a microwave, refrigerator and tv, and a good clean bathroom. There's a nice breakfast -- fresh coffee, bagles, cereal, and juice. It is convenient to I-81 in the type of commercial area you would expect with lots of other hotels and restaurants nearby and a shopping center across the street. Even though the area around it is quite busy, the rooms are quiet as they do not face unto the street. This is not The Ritz but I've paid more for less.

The smell was awful in this hotel. The musty stench of mildew was about more than we could stand. Couldn't tell if it was a Lysol odor or insect repellent. Came home with a couple bug bites and this was our last stop so it had to be from the beds/room. The staff was a little odd too. Sketchy as my family would say. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
