“Old..Old..Old”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

this hotel is in deparate need of alot of remodeling. for example, our room had a large section of it's walls material hanging off. the tub was very slow to drain and will fill while you showered. we had alot of trouble keeping the rooms temperature right. it was either to hot or too cold. he breakfast bar was fine but the lady attending it never let us forget the fact she was the one who came in to work to assemble it for us. in fact she never let us forget she was closing early so she could go home to her grand babies. the quality inn in front royal va, and this one in winchester va. and like night and day. in the future our choice will always be to stay at the one in front royal va.

Room Tip: travel the 13 extra miles to front royal va and stay at the quality inn there.

“Fine for the price”

I wonder what folks expect for $55 a night including breakfast for two people??? It's not a Ritz Carlton but it IS good value for that kind of money. It's an old hotel, and worn (several rooms were being reno'd during my last stay) but clean, and in four stays, I have never seen a bug anywhere! Staff, especially Justin(?), do whatever they can to ensure your needs are met, and breakfast is always plentiful and good. We stay each year enroute south, and will continue to do so.

Room Tip: Rooms on back or east wings are farther from road noise, ask for ground floor if any mobility issues...

“Comfortable beds and good breakfast.”

Room was too hot, heat was on, couldn't gat any air conditioning. We would have had to change rooms to get cool air.

“A stop along the way”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

The room stunk, paint peeling, wallpaper peeling in the bathroom with mold. Heat was set for 60 but turned on during the night. Woke up at 3:30 am and the room was over 90.

The breakfast was the only good thing about this place.

I have stayed at many Quality Inns in my travels over the years and this place is the worst ever.
Doesn't deserve the "Quality" name.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.

“It's always something”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

I have stayed at this Inn three times now. Guess three's the charm. The first time, my key didn't work. The second time, there was a towel on the floor in front of the refrigerator. I guess it had a leak. Anyway, the room wasn't ready for guests. The third time, I killed four bugs in the bed. Needless to say, I didn't sleep very well. Then, after I took my shower in the morning, I couldn't turn off the cold water. However, the staff were quick to turn off the water, and were very polite.

In my mind, a courteous staff is not enough to convince me to stay there again.
