I would highly recommend the Legacy of Williamsburg for anyone visiting the Wiliamsburg area and who loves the colonial history. When you enter the Inn, you feel that you have gone back in time. All rooms are beautifully decorated in the colonial theme. The Inn is immaculate. A candlelight breakfast is served in the keeping room, and the food is delicious (especially the spice pancakes with lemon sauce!). A great way to start the day! Joan is a wonderful cook and a gracious innkeeper, who wants to ensure that her guests thoroughly enjoy their stay.

We had such a great time staying at Legacy! It was so quiet there, that it wasn't until the morning that we came face to face with anyone. Needless to say this is a relaxing and comfortable B n B!! We cannot wait to return! Oh....and the breakfast was amazing of course!!

Everything was really great and I was highly impressed, especially with the breakfast. It was freshly made and brought out to us.

We loved our stay. Before you even step in, small things, like the "old" plaques around the property, make you feel as though you are stepping back in time. Elements such as the names of the rooms, like the Keeping room, the fair, and even the wonderful smell, continue this. Everything is top notch... The cleanliness, the food, the service... And I would highly recommend it. We will be returning.
