My fiance and I are from richmond, he's always been talking about going to williamsburg so on our 2 year anniversary we decided to take a trip there. well we wanted to stay near the outlet mall little to my surprise after we finished shopping we went back to the room to relax. We were relaxing on the bed watching tv when I noticed a bug on the wall didnt think much of it until i found out that it was a cochroach, not 5 minutes later another on the opposite wall. I had went to the front desk and asked for a refund, as of right now im going through a process of trying to get my refund back and the manager keeps giving me the room around, and the front desk lady told me that the week before they had to spray a different room for the same problem. So I would advise everyone, do not stay at this hotel it is disgusting, dirty, and in a horrible location.

This motel has to the most run down dirty motel i've seen. Do your self a favor and dont even consider this place. i checked in the afternoon and it did look that bad. But left and returned after it was dark and when i pulled up to my room there was strung out people just walking up to my car . i went to the front desk to ask for my money back to leave and i was informed that they dont give refunds, even after i explaind why i was leaving i still didnt get my money back and the only thing that the desk clerck said was they are just weeklys thats all. this place is very unsafe... never again...... peolple just walking around asking for money and everything else.....please just keep driving......

No need for specific details, but this place is for transients, junkies, and the downtrodden. Children should not be in such a place. Look elsewhere.

The room was advertised as a Kitchenette, but, the stove didn't work and the door to the refrigerator didn't close. There was dried urine from years gone by on the toilet and piles of dirt in the corners of the bathroom. The chairs were so "shot" that I sank below where the springs once were and couldn't get out, not to mention they were filthy anyway, and, the bedspreads looked very unclean. The room had such a stench that everything in everybody's suitcase had to be washed when we got home whether or not it was dirty. The cobwebs in the corners and on the curtains gave it a kind of "Munsters" atmosphere. The steel on the building had peeling paint with rust running down it and the continental breakfast turned out to be Krispy Kreme doughnuts and a cup of coffee. There was entertainment as the train frequently went by -- even at night. If you see the Family Inn at Williamsburg, VA, do yourself a favor and keep on driving.
