We had never stayed at a B&B before, so I was a little skeptical about this. But we experienced nothing but Best-in-Class service and value at the Boxwood Inn. Steve & Sandi have done a spendid job of mixing old-fashioned guest house charm with modern accommodations. Our stay in the Washington Carriage House was very relaxing and comfortable; the large four-post bed, fire place and whirlpool tub allowed for a variety of quiet, relaxing activities - reading, quiet conversation over drinks, a good soak to warm the bones after strolling around Colonial Williamsburg in winter. Though we'd rather not repeat what others have written, we'd be remiss in not echoing their comments of the great breakfasts that are served each morning! The meals are generously proportioned (neither of us had lunch either day of our stay!!!) and included items not found in standard hotels and restaurants. The main house itself was beautifully decorated for the holiday season with personal touches all around. The close proximity to the College of William and Mary, and Colonial Williamsburg make a walking tour ideal! Yet we never heard any traffic off Richmond Road itself. The Boxwood Inn is well worth the stay!
