We stayed at the HGI Williamsburg on 2/8/12. Pool was under repair but the price for the comfortable room was quite good. Cookies served in the evening and breakfast the next morning were nice. Dinner was a short, safe walk away in either direction for anything you could think of.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for one night and were pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price (discount for AAA members). The hotel boasts windows in the lobby, restaurant and pool areas, so it is very bright and airy. Staff were just great - friendly and helpful. We didn't eat breakfast there, but it looked like a good deal at $8.95 for an adult; $4.95 for children. Our room was very nice - lots of room in addition to the two double beds. I liked the Neutrogena amenities and clean bathroom.

Plenty of dining choices in the area - we ate at "Food for Thought". (Check for coupons in the travel magazines in the lobby). Nice business center off the main lobby and lovely small pool -- both open 24 hrs. Will be back!!

We've used this facility a couple of times. It meets all of our expectations for a HGI and then some and wouldn't hesitate to use it the next time we're in the area. There's a great sea food place next door, complete with white table cloths (that you don't find that often these days) -- be sure to get a discount if you go there.

I reserved this hotel for one night with an add on breakfast, got there around 11pm & it was a very quick exchange of room key. The lady at the desk was very nice however she did leave out the fact that you HAVE to have the breakfast voucher with you when going downstairs to eat. Also did not mention that you have to wait to be seated in a very small eating area. That really started my morning off badley. I got so irritated with the lack of communication I grabbed a few pieces of fruit & a muffin for my 3 year old & told them I as eating in my room instead. I was pretty upset with the fact I had no idea how the breakfast situation worked. I thought, like any other hotel its a buffet & sit where you want. A few minutes after I got back to the room. The GM called & apologized for the inconvenice & offered to take 25% off my room bill. I was amazed how quickly my issue was taken care of. Turned out I had to stay one more night in williamsburg & I decided to go back to the hilton. They were so amazing when I returned, they apologized again & gave me free breakfast vouchers for the next morning. So I give this place 5 stars for customer service. Ok, so as far as the rest of the ammenties, The building is beautiful & clean. The hallways & rooms are spotless ( and i checked EVERYTHING) there is a coffee pot, flat screen, free wireless internet, desk, big bathroom in the room which is nice. The beds are a little too hard for me & the pillows are so soft its hard to get comfortable. But other then that this hotel is defnitly a place I would come back too.
