“Like visiting friends”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Fred and Jane have a lovely 1940s house just minutes from colonial Williamsburg. There are four bedrooms upstairs, all decorated with colonial furnishings. There is a sitting room downstairs with a crackling fire, winr and cookies. Fred takes the time to tell you all you need to know to plan your visit. Breakfast is excellent. When we had finished eating, Fred and Jane joined us for another cup of tea or coffee and we chatted as if with old friends for the better part of an hour. Free parking on the street.

“Perfect winter getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Williamsburg was the perfect place to meet for a birthday celebration, and the Bentley Manor Inn was the ideal spot. There was a fire in the fireplace to ward off the winter chill, wine and cookies to great us at the end of a long drive, and comfortable, charming rooms. Jane's Sour Cream/Apple pancakes were a highlight for us! We were offered every comfort and convenience at the inn. Fred and Jane were knowledgeable and gracious hosts. The rooms were spotless, and the location was convenient to everything we wished to explore.

“Our First Trip to Williamsburg”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Fred and Jane were wonderful. Their home is warm and inviting, and very convenient to historic Williamsburg. We enjoyed two fine breakfast meals. Bentley Manor is where we will stay when we return to Williamsburg. In addition to the very comfortable accommodations and fine food, Fred and Jane were tremendously helpful in guiding us to see the very best Colonial Williamsburg had to offer within the time constraints of our visit. Chris & Karla (Marietta, GA)

Room Tip: We saw each of the guest rooms and they all were perfect.

“A lovely getaway”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

The Bentley manor in was the perfect spot from which to explore Colonial Williamsburg, and Fred and Jane made the weekend an absolute pleasure.

I sometimes find the second "b" a little tiresome... making pleasant conversation with strangers over coffee you wish you could have made yourself and a breakfast you're really not hungry for.

At Bentley Manor Inn, my husband and I found ourselves leaving later each day because we inadvertently lingered way past the end of breakfast, enjoying the great food and the excellent company. The other guests were fascinating people, and Fred and Jane are just good people.

We will absolutely stay with them again when we find ourselves in the area. It made for a great long weekend from Washington, with a fun and educational trip, great dining and, thanks to Fred and Jane, really fabulous accomodations.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are lovely. Only one has a tub, so if it matters to you, ask.

“Third Stay as Nice as the First”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

We stay every year for our Anniversary, and we can't recommend the Bentley Manor Inn enough. Our recent stay, the third, was just as nice as our first, which was a wonderful experience. Jane and Fred are thoughtful, meticulous hosts who make each stay a pleasure.

The rooms are all gorgeous and the two we've stayed in were both exceedingly comfortable and clean. The food is amazing. The apple pancakes and french toast are to die for!

We look forward to returning next year!

Room Tip: The Governor Berkeley room has a great walk-in tiled shower with seat. The Thomas Jefferson room do...
