“Classy Hotel and Loved the quaint little Brick House Tavern Colonial House!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

We went to Williamsburg for Thanksgiving. We stayed in the Brick House Tavern Colonial home for 4 days and had an all inclusive package that included breakast every morning at the Williamsburg Inn. The breakfast was great and the dining room was filled everyday with fresh flowers. What a beautiful hotel. We had so much fun, staying in our little Colonial home, with our very own fireplace. It was like stepping back in time. I would highly reccommend the little colonial homes for families and the Inn for couples. We will be back!

“Excellent stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

The staff was wonderful, which to me can make all the difference in a hotel stay. They remembered us by name and did all they could to make our stay comfortable and great. The room was fantastic. I really felt like I was in an elegant manor home. It was a family trip and unfortunately I took ill during part of the stay but spent a very enjoyable day in the hotel.

The bathroom was HUGE...it was glorious. The lighting was soft, the marbled floors and countertops were beautiful and the tub...wow, the tub was amazing. I made use of it to the full extent. There was a bottle of bubble bath so I took a nice long soak. The shower was top notch as well.

We ate breakfast every morning at the Regency Room. It is buffet style though you can order off a menu as well. The food was very tasty though tended to be the same each morning with some minor changes in selection here and there.

It's right in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg so you have only to walk a few steps out the door of the hotel and tada, there you are!

A truly wonderful experience and stay and I can't wait to go back!!

“Lovely, cozy Williamsburg Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

My husband and I stayed here the weekend before Christmas. Warm greetings by the doormen as we arrived, (they were always friendly and cheery) not too impressed by the front desk ~ I think they could have hired someone who had a little more polish. Our room was very nice, a bit dated, but comfortable and clean, bed was comfy and no noise in the hallways. The bathroom was updated ~ all marble and very spacious, very nice. We had dinner in the Regency Room the first night, and my dinner was horrible. Crab stuffed flounder - completely dried out flounder and way too much filler in the crab meat. My husband had the filet with veggies and he thought it was very good. There was a nice combo playing and guests were dancing, and it was very pleasant as we sipped our Prosecco and danced a few dances. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant ~ very, very pricey and not worth the money, IMO. We ate lunch the next day in the Terrace Room and it was not much better. The breakfast buffet, which was included in our package, was just fine, although trying to get a cup of coffee/refill was a bit of a hassle. Would recommend dining at a restaurant outside the Inn.
The decorations were lovely - a gorgeous tree, lots of fresh flowers and greens - a very nice feel for the holidays. There were lots of families and folks in their senior years. We got the impression they had been there many times. It was a nice weekend, and we would probably stay there again but definitely not have our meals there. There's lots to do, good shopping and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The Inn is very charming and romantic, but could use a little updating.

“Merry Christmas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

Escaped to Colonial Williamsburg for Christmas 2010. Williamsburg was crippled by a massive snow storm while we were there. The Inn provided for the needs of the guests who were trapped offering accommodations beyond reservation dates, dining opportunities for those whose reservations elsewhere were cancelled and jars of freshly baked cookies strategically placed throughout the hotel. The staff was beyond graceful under pressure.

“Christmas in Colonial Williamsburg, VA.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

Williamsburg, VA. is a great place to get in the Christmas spirit. The Colonial Williamsburg Lodge is beautiful. The food was great. Rooms are clean. The employees always had a smile and very helpful. The village of Colonial Williamsburg was Informative about our history. I felt like I was back in the 17th hundreds.
