We exchanged our "home" timeshare for a 1 bed-roomed apartment at the Westgate. We found the resort easily on the way in from the Interstate. It is about 20 minutes walk to the historic part of Williamsburg and there are buses between the resort and the historic area. Our apartment / "suite" was well equipped with reasonable sized rooms and a good kitchen area. As a visiting exchange owner I had to pay for my WiFi - Westgate owners get this free - I feel this could have been extended to us. There are several social events for guests during the week. The outdoor pool is small but OK for a quick dip in the water. In general we were happy with the facilities offered by the resort and especially happy with its location.
There are plenty of restaurants in the area. There is a small shopping mall with a Blooms grocery supermarket on the next block.
There is a WalMart a couple of miles away but whether this is worth the journey is debatable.
As often with such timeshare-based places you are "invited" into the sales area for a discussion but there was no hard sell and I was able to leave when I was ready. I don't really see the point of these discussions - if you already have a timeshare you are not going to buy another - especially 3500 miles from home.
