“Quiet but Close to Everything”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2012 NEW

The hotel has just changed ownership, used to be a Marriott. The change was definitelt for the better. The service was great and the staf very friendly. Nice sports bar and good amenities. The cafe, big variety of snacks (healthy) and drinks, could have stayed open later. I would absolutely say at this property agian

“UNBELEIVABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE”

What a great time, we had no problems at all. I can not say enough about the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping. The hotel was spotless; the room was very good, super clean. My only complaint would be the TV, not a flat screen and limited channels. Location was good for Busch Gardens, all though not recommended by the hotel; we walked to the park both days. Only problem was no side walks so would not recommend it (the walk) for younger kids. Do not have to cross any highways. The restaurant prices were high but had the option of the café where you could get low cost snacks, only complaint would be to stay open later, closed at 8:00 PM. would stay here again without question, never felt more welcomed than here.

“Spoder hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2012 NEW via mobile

I stayed at the williamsburg hotel and conference center this memorial day weekend and it wasnt that bad. The lobby and the entirior of the hotel was beautiful and the bed were very very confortable. But if your afraid of spiders you might want to stayat another hotel, this hotel has a bug problem in our room on the forst floor we found two spiders and a large bug with wings, we asked for a room change and the staff were very noce and moved our rooms to a higher level. Later that night i went to sit in the lobby and a large spider is walking around the lobby a lady stomped on it, but as far as i saw no one ever picked it up and disposed of it. Over all not bad, good location, super comfortable beds, but PLEASE ASK FOR A ROOM ON AN UPPER LEVEL there is definetly a bug problem that needs to be handeled. :)

“Gre on me”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 May 2012 NEW via mobile

We arrived late, and were to tired to care about the over all appearance. The hallways remind me of the shinning, but the bathrooms are nice. Bartenders were great. Melody makes an awesome latte. The staff were helpful. All-in-all the hotel rooms need a makeover, but the staff and location make up for it. Visit restaurant s outside the local strip. We found a great sushi place in Yorktown. Pancakes go to colonial. They are better than National. U could spit on Bush Gardens from the hotel.,

“Nice property, good location, starting to look shaggy around the edges.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2012

We had a business conference here last weekend. Came in Thursday(place was almost deserted),friendly folks at the front desk. Had King room on 4th floor--hallway reminded me of being on a cruise ship. Refrigerator didn't work,1 chair in room, although a floor lamp and space for a 2nd chair, refrigerator and microwave just sitting on the floor---have never seen that before, even in a low budget motel. Things were clean and the bed was comfortable.Meeting rooms and banquet rooms are HUGE! For our group lunch of about 30 people, while there were several people standing around, only 1 man assigned to hand out the sandwiches we had pre-ordered---very slow service consequently.Breakfast buffet was good with wide variety of choices, although no yogurt, but plenty of fresh fruit, eggs, several meats, rolls, etc. This hotel is on the opposite side of town from the outlets and pottery shopping area(have about 25 minute drive right through town),but very close to the water park and Busch Garden attractions. Used to be a Marriott, and looks to be sliding backwards. If I were paying,I'd choose elsewhere for myself and my wife.
