“Fantastic value!”

We stayed here for 2 nights on our way to the Outer Banks. This hotel exceeded our expectations in all areas and was much more than we had dared to hope for. The spacious room was VERY clean, as was the bathroom. The bedding on the king-sized bed was extremely clean and fresh (the quality was definitely above a level found in hotels anywhere close to this price point). Location is excellent. Having a clean microwave and under-counter sized fridge (not micro) was a nice plus. The breakfast was pretty limited, but the quality of the items made us more than satisfied with it. If we are in the Williamsburg area in the near future, this will definitely be where we stay.

Room Tip: Rooms in building where office is enter from hall; others have only outside doors.

“good deal for a overnighter”

Spent the night on our way from New York to the outer banks. Spacious room and clean, great for a night or two, would stay again.

“Average, ok for a short stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

We stayed here for one night on a quick trip to colonial Williamsburg.

The room was ok. It didn't seem as clean or as well-maintained as other Econo lodge hotels I've stayed in.

The hair-dryer didn't work but as we were there for only one night, I didn't complain so I can't comment on the staff's helpfulness in such cases.

Breakfast was basic and ok. The staff was pretty quick in refilling the muffin/toast trays.

“Clean, spacious, comfy room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

Most reviews I read on Trip Advisor were positive, but a couple frankly made me nervous. I have to say this hotel exceeded my expectations. We got a good value for a very clean, spacious room with king size bed, television, fridge and microwave. The bathroom was spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the mattress was clean. The carpet felt clean when I stepped on it barefoot (some reviews I had read stated the carpet felt scummy).

We had originally planned to stay 2 nights, but due to the hurricane our trip in this area was cut in half. It is in close proximity to a lot of great restaurants and Busch Gardens. I cannot speak to noise in adjacent rooms as the rooms were unoccupied and breakfast as we decided to head out instead. If we are ever in this area again, we will stay here. Overall, I recommend this hotel.

“Pleasant visit-will stay here again!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

We arrived early for our extended weekend trip to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. We called ahead and asked if we could check in early to rest before going out to see the sights. The manager/owner stated they would most definitely have our room available and it was no problem. Big plus! When we arrived, check in was a breeze and we were given a room on the first floor. The hotel is half a block off a main thoroughfare, but it is still very quiet. We were able to park right in front of our room, which I like to be able to see our vehicle from the room! Our room had the standard, basic amenities: microwave, mini fridge (no extra charge), hair dryer, table/chairs, two double beds, flat screen tv. There was adequate space for the three of us. The room smelled fresh and was exceptionally clean. There was no indication of pests (we picked up the mattresses and checked the drawers). We checked out the pool area, with was nice and clean. We didn't have the chance to use the pool because we did so much sightseeing, but it was well maintained. Even though our room was near the pool, we were not bothered by any noise from the other guests. The bathroom was clean and sink had a nice granite countertop that was spacious. I have to say that the carpets were the absolute cleanest I have EVER seen in budget lodging! We walked around in our socks and not one hint on dirt! I couldn't believe it! The owners obviously take pride in their place and keep it very clean. I was not worried about my daughter playing in the floor. There was a continental breakfast offered but we didn't try it-- my husband wanted to take a tour of all the local pancake houses during our visit.
We were so happy with our stay that we extended it one more night. Went off to Busch Gardens for a few hours and talked ourselves into staying another night. We called and asked for another room and told them we had checked out a little while before. They of course remembered us and said they would hold a room for us-no problem. We arrived late after the park closed and was given a room on the second floor-a suite. This room had two double beds and a sleeper sofa. Was just as clean as the first room and bigger!
*My only gripe, if you could call it that, is both of our rooms had a door to the adjoining room. The only security feature was a deadbolt with a twist knob. The door was very thin and in both rooms, our 'neighbors' were testing out the door. I didn't feel unsafe at any time, but feel the doors should be a little more sturdy.
When we return to Williamsburg to take advantage or our season passes, we will most definitely stay here again!
