My husband and I lived in this hotel for over a month while he was working in Virginia so we really got to know the Holiday Inn Patriot. The staff, Kristina, Chad, Molli, Josh- and everyone else in housekeeping and maintenance are so helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the wake up calls are reliable. Any problem that arose was immediately remedied. Overall the actual hotel is what you would expect it to be, but the staff was really great.

I attended a conference at this hotel the weekend of January 14. This was not my first stay in this hotel, and I must say that every time I am there, the service and atmosphere gets better (and I thought they were already excellent)!

If you are thinking of hosting a conference here, you won't find a better hotel owner to work with. And the staff really enjoys going out of their way for the guests and attendees. The function space is ample, and not too far from the guest rooms. The bar is a fun place to gather and network, and there is a full-service restaurant on site. But, I'll say it again... I've worked with many hotel staffs before. I've hosted conferences at hotels and convention centers. The owner of this hotel is one of the best I've ever seen in the way he works with conference administration.

I have also noticed that the rooms have improved with each stay. My room had a wide-screen flat panel TV, a great shower, and a very comfortable bed--plus a fridge and a microwave and great, modern furniture in the room.

The whole place is friendly and inviting. I highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Patriot for a weekend convention and it was fabulous! Molly in the morning and Josh in the evening at the front desk were awesome! The entire staff made the weekend a great success. The hotel was perfect and very accommodating.

The rooms are clean in this hotel & they allow dogs, which is why we stayed there. The hotel is older. The air conditioner (yes, we needed it in January---temp outside was 68) was acting up and sounded like someone pounding on a barrel when it would shut off, which happened throughout the night, so that kept waking us up and we had a lack of sleep, which is a shame because the bed was very comfortable. Went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast the next morning & we were the only ones in there. My sons pancakes were bad (not cooked right, hard on outside, not done on inside) and the rest of the breakfast was ok, but nothing special, would recommend not getting the breakfast package w/your room & eat outside of hotel, there are numerous pancake houses right around this hotel.

They have an indoor & outdoor pool and a hot tub, which was ok, but the hot tub jets would not come on very strong, I think the switch was broke. Pools not that big, but my 2 kids enjoyed them. The game room has older machines and is outdated. The bar has a pool table in it and nice cold beer on draft.

If you're expecting one of the newer Holiday Inns and the new comforts that go along with them, do not stay here.
