Friendly staff, clean rooms, a continental breakfast, and reasonable prices close to the historic area. While we were staying here in February 2004, my husband became ill. The receptionist was very helpful and told me where to take him to get medical attention. As it turned out, he was having a silent heart attack and ended up being admitted to the local hospital. I was concerned because I had no idea how long it would be before we could return home and I knew that a group was expected to check in. The owner assured me that I would not have to look for another place to stay. After the death of my husband four years later, I once again returned to Williamsburg for Christmas. The staff remembered me from earlier visits and gave me a room close to the office in case I needed anything. I have since made the trip several times and have always felt comfortable and safe staying there. I also appreciate the fact that on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas the owner and management keep on only a small housekeeping staff, thus allowing the employees to spend the holiday with their families.
