“Nice place!”

We enjoyed our stay here... BEAUTIFUL setting, on a golf course in historic Williamsburg in an upscale community!!
The rooms are kind of small, especially for a Marriott Vacation Property. Checking in was a breeze and the guy who checked us in was VERY helpful! We got to the room and the toilet wasn't flushing at all, so we called the desk and went shopping... By the time we got back it was all good.
The bed was decent. TV was very nice, but the channel selection was a little reduced.

The room size is our biggest gripe though.

The grounds and activities were AWESOME! Very nice hot tub (used it a previous time)... Pool is also very nice and they have nice gas grills all over the property. Very secure feeling at this place.

Again, the only real gripe is with the size of the room.

“Lovely colonial timeshare”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

We have stayed at the Manor Club several times over the years while our children attended William & Mary. This was our first time back in 2 years and unfortunately we could only stayed one night. Got a great rate on Marriott.com and it was well worth it. Because we weren't there long, we did not use any of the amenities, but our room (apartment) was great. Our daughter and son-in-law were with us so it was perfect having two bedrooms. The fireplace was also welcoming on this cold weekend.
The original buildings are much nicer than the sequel side across the street, but they are all two bedrooms. If you have a one bedroom or studio, you will be placed in the sequel.
We did have one little glitch in that our room wasn't ready until after 4 o'clock. This was due to higher occupancy and the need to open a building that had been closed for the winter. They placed us in another room at 4, but a strong ammonia type smell in the bathroom, forced them to move us into the newly opened building. There were no problems there.
I would highly recommend this timeshare over most of the others in Williamsburg. It is easy to get to from I64 and 199, and you are only about 15 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg. It is located within a golf club community which offers many pleasant walking opportunities.

Room Tip: If you have a two bedroom, request the original buildings.

“Beautiful Resort area close to everything!”

My friends and I recently spent a long week-end at Marriott Ford Colony on a short stay exchange with Interval International (I own at Marriott Grande Ocean). Despite being the dead of winter we found our stay relaxing and perfect for a "Mom's getaway". We had a two bedroom villa in one of the buildings across the street from check-in (name escapes me) on the third floor overlooking the outdoor pool. The unit was well maintained and appeared to be somewhat updated although I understand renovations are being done right now on many of the villas. Our kitchen was a bit small and only allowed for one cook in the kitchen. The fireplace was great on our cold evenings. While I had previously read the resort was "out of the way", we did not feel that at all - my GPS took us through a neighborhood straight to Richmond Road where we ate and shopped and Colonial Williamsburg was just another short drive. We took advantage of the resort Spa and while the staff was excellent, the Spa itself could use a redo - a larger quiet or waiting area and better "pre-pampering" before treatment. We will definitely return hopefully in warmer weather so to take advantage of all the many things the resort offers. The pools and the golf course looked so inviting even on a chilly day.

“Beautiful, clean property for an extended stay”

My boyfriend and I took advantage of a week at Manor Club (the Sequel side). Our brief interaction with the staff was lovely, organized, and succinct. I appreciated that we were not bothered the rest of our stay. The suite (we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment) was beautiful and clean, with a very large bathtub in the bedroom, a large shower, and two sinks. A newly renovated kitchen was in the unit with all stainless steel appliances and fully stocked with cooking tools, plates, and silverware. The living area was probably the weakest part of the suite, as the furniture was slightly dated, yet comfortable. Unfortunately, the large HDTV was mounted above the working fireplace and was too close to comfortably watch at the height at which it was hung. There was a good TV in the bedroom, though, so that compensated for this slight lack. Overall, a fantastic stay.

Room Tip: Ask to be on the Sequel side. Also, ask to be on the top floor, as we could hear people walking arou...

“Excellent”

This is my favorite hotel in Williamsburg, VA, and I have tried many. The spacious 1 and 2 bedroom villas are an excellent value. The decor is starting to show a little bit of age, but this is far outweighed by the amount of space and the cleanliness of the rooms. The fireplace, full kitchen, screened in porch, and free wi-fi are all excellent bonuses. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Williamsburg area.
