Our first experience at a B & B and found the Inn, the innkeepers, and the town absolutely delightful. A lovely old home with a gorgeous garden, updated with very nice bathrooms, and a creative and attentive breakfast. Just 2 short blocks to our dinner destination, the Inn at Little Washington. GSI was all I had hoped for.

I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to Washington, VA for his birthday with dinner at the Inn at Little Washington and a night at the Gay Street Inn. The inn was perfect and the inn keepers were so wonderful. Our room was really cozy and clean and the common areas were also very nice. When we arrived Kevin offered us complimentary wine which we enjoyed in the peaceful backyard. They were very accomadating with just the right amount of attention. They had port and chocolates waiting for us when we returned from dinner, which was a really nice treat. Our breakfast in the morning was so delicious. My boyfriend had never stayed at a B&B before, he had been skeptical of them, but the Gay Street Inn changed his opinion. I've stayed at a few B&B's in the past, but this was by far my best experience. Highly recommend a stay here when in Washington, VA.

Maybe the best B&B I have ever stayed at anywhere. Room very attractive and comfortable -- as are the public spaces. Breakfast delicious. As noted by others, Kevin and Jay could not be better hosts (Kevin is a talented artist as well). Truly excellent in all respects.

The Gay Street Inn was fantastic. It resides a couple of blocks from the center of Little Washington, a convenient walk to any destination including the Inn at Little Washington. The hosts are Jay and Kevin who couldn't be better hosts. The Gay Street Inn is beautifully decorated with amazing art including a number of Kevin's pieces (Kevin is a highly accomplished artist.)

I can be somewhat particular about service (it disappointed me that I had to repeatedly ask to have my water glass refilled at the Inn at LW), but I have nothing negative to say about the Gay Street Inn...we had a perfect stay.
