In November, 2011, we stayed at Foster Harris after having a fabulous Thanksgiving meal at the Inn at Little Washington. Little did we know that breakfast the next day would be equally satisfying!
We had two large guest rooms, each with large comfortable king or queen beds and with large well appointed baths. The Inn has a lovely view of the Blue Ridge foothills and serves as a nice "jumping off" spot for the bicycle tours led by the owners, John and Diane MacPherson. While we did not participate in that activity, we have no doubt that riders would find it excellent. John is a gourmet chef - his breakfast was as fine a meal as we've had at any B and B!
Foster Harris was a nice surprise, perhaps the best B and B experience we've had anywhere in the US. We look forward to returning. If you're in the northern Virginia area, don't miss it!
